Alaskan Cruise by DorisK79443042

Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska

This was our first cruise and what a way to be initiated...my husband was leary of taking a cruise but, this ship, and the service won him over. All the different areas and decor were really nice.

wonderful Alaskan Cruise by AmyT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The trip was wonderful, this was our first cruise in 20 years and our 30th Wedding anniversary. There were plenty of activities going on and one may choose to do as many or as little as desired. The staff is very attentive and the ship very clean. We will definately cruise again and choose Royal Carribean.

Not for the Conservative Spender by StormlightS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

It is nice to having done for you, but it felt like all they wanted you to do was spend, spend, spend. It is your luxury to own something new. No meaningful activities, until we get on the shore.

Wonderful cruise experience by CWilson1408306

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Overall we really enjoyed ourselves...probably too much. I am almost afraid to weigh myself. Checking in was fast but I suspect it was because we have cruised RC before and they definitely cater to those that repeat. The excursions were interesting and fun. In Juneau, we visited Mendenhall Glaciers, went whale watching (which was a blast) and visited Orca Point Lodge. OPL was a waste of time and the 'fresh salmon' was over cooked. I didn't see one bit of wildlife out there. Save your money on this one. In Skagway, we did the White Pas Trail and Yukon Visit. The views are amazing. We also visited a new suspension bridge and had bison chili. Yummy! In Victoria we did the hop on/off city tour. Apparently RC has their own version of the tour. We accidentally got on a regular bus and got a full city tour. We saw city highlights not on the RC tour. Fisherman Warf was cool too. The food on the ship was great. We even visited the asian specialty restaurant Izumi. Soooo good! The only complaint was breakfast in main dining g room. Options were limited and the food was not prepared well. Stick to Windjammer. We did a galley tour with the executive chef. Absolutely mind boggling to see how the dining operation is run. Was definitely eye opening. Lots if fun activities on the ship. The cruise director, Anna, is hilarious. She kept it fun. All in all a great vacation!

Rhapsody 7 night Alaska cruise by Howard

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The ship is decent with 8 decks for staterooms. We went on this Alaska Cruise in July and had a nice inside stateroom with 2 bunk beds for the kids. Therere enough activities on the boat that we were only in the room for sleeping, so the room was not matter much to us. The ocean adventure center could be fun for little kids, but my 9 and 11 years old boys didnt like it. They said it was boring for them. We traveled with my friend who has a 6 years old girl and she loved it and didnt want to leave the place. Therere only one outside pool and one small inside pool on deck 9. My kids love swimming, so swimming pool is always priority on my list when I travel. I was a little disappointed at the swimming pools on this boat because the kids were limited to the swimming. It was cold for the outside pool when the boat was at sea or even at dock in Alaska. The inside pool has limited hours for kids (12-2 pm and 4-8 pm). My kids tried both outside and inside pools anyways, but I think they could do better with the swimming pools, especially for Alaska Cruise. I have to give a thumb up for the cruise director, Anna, as all the activities on the boat were fun and well organized/timing. The service staffs are friendly and very nice. Over all, I would give it a 4/5 stars.

A Great Cruise! by KristinaT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The ship was great. I was very disappointed that the ship only had two pools and that the indoor pool was adults only. The outdoor pool was nice but very cold outside, my kids only got to swim once which is very disappointing.

A Great Cruise! by KristinaT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The ship was great, very nice. Was disappointed that the ship only had two swimming pools. The pool inside was adults only and the pool outside in the freezing cold was for kids and adults. Why would they do that? My kids only swam once during the whole kids, very, very disappointed.

A not so good trip by JohnsonX

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska

The best server in the world! But the food is OK only. It's not fresh cooked. Even the lobster was precooked. Understand so many people to feed, but they should have done this better. The worst experience was in the shop. My brother bought a $5500 blue diamond and found the ring is not that good. We tried to return it. But the sales person told us that the ring got exchanged by other people. Make no sense. I don't want to waste my time to tell the whole story but Please do not buy anything in the shops on the ship! Finally we got the return, but the manager didn't even give us an apology. The lady in the customer service is nice, but she seems have no control. I don't expect more from this ship, they need to make money. And I don't think they can improve anymore. They don't have good system.
