Review summary

Pleasant, small ship with great staff. We would go on again

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Arrived in Barbados mid afternoon, but after delays with the luggage we were cutting it fine. However the RC shuttle to the ship was horrendous, the driver messed about at the port for nearly 30 minutes before we could get off meaning we were late for dinner and had to spend the evening in our travelling clothes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
MDR was lovely, but wasn't open enough during the day. Windjammer is a bit of a chaotic layout.

Schooner Bar

5 out of 5

It's a shame that it's a thoroughfare as it could benefit from more seating. Ended up being our go to venue most of the cruise

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Not enough for people who live physical activities, but great for quizzes, game shows etc

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The quizzes ended up repeating by the second week. Mostly focused on music, TV and movies - missing more sports, geography etc. For the first time in 40 years I didn't go to any show, I really wasn't inspired. DJ from Ukraine was lovely but we thought he was piped music a few times.

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
My daughter and her friends had to complain because several times the teen venue was closed when they turned up for advertised activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As always, can't fault

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Dated, could do with amplification to include more activities and more/bigger venues

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
A bit cramped, especially for my husband at 6'4" but otherwise pleasant

Ship tip

Don't expect what you get on the bigger ships, but it's an intimate experience where you're more likely to keep meeting the same people.
