Review summary

We had very few disappointments, but the wine-tasting was one of them. It seemed disorganized at the beginning -- I suspect a lot of people just walked in without a reservation and the waiters acted like it was an imposition to set up additional tasting spots. There should have been ice water at each place (room temp. water doesn't do it) and no one offered refills. The white wines were not chilled. The cheese and fruit were excellent but the crackers were beyond stale. The wines were good but not outstanding.

Embarkation

Very easy and timely!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the MDR was excellent for every meal! The food in the Windjammer was always good but not always hot or even warm. We only ate at one specialty restaurant, Chops Grille, but it was AH-MAZING! That includes the food, service and ambiance. . . . Would definitely eat there again!

Onboard Activities

Trivia, hot tub, wine tasting. We LOVE trivia, but the "Italian-speaking" gentlemen was not a good choice for hosting that -- his accent is too thick and people kept asking him to repeat and even spell some things. . . . The hot tubs in the Solarium didn't have much "jet power" -- we could never get a spot in the outside tubs.

Entertainment

In general, very good. Some of the singers/dancers shows were a little hokey, but the quality of the singing and dancing was excellent. the black gentleman singer/entertainer (something Tillman?) was WONDERFUL -- he enjoyed the heck out of him!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our cabin steward (cannot say or spell his name) was GREAT!! We did Anytime Dining so we had several different waiters and everyone made us feel very special and could not have been friendlier or more attentive.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We DO enjoy the smaller ships and this one was perfect for us. Yes, everything was clean and well-kept.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an accessible room and it was perfect for accommodating my husband's power chair. The size of the bathroom really helped as well. Our cabin steward kept everything "ship-shape"!

Ship tip

Don't do the alcohol package -- just order your drinks as you want them and you will come out spending less money!

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida Did not visit port

Just drove in and drove out.

Key West, Florida Did not visit port

The ship could not come into the Key West Harbor because of the weather. It would have been nice if we had gone there the last day to take the place of the first. . . .

Cozumel, Mexico

The shopping area was nothing special. We did a van tour with another couple and our driver was GREAT! We saw everything we wanted to see and he was personable and funny.

Belize City, Belize Did not visit port

Could not take my husband's power chair on the tender so we didn't leave the ship.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

No excursions interested us. We went to the "shopping" area and it was very commercialized, esp. the Starbucks. . . .

Disembarkation

FAST & SMOOTH!
