Review summary

The cruise was good and my wife and I enjoyed it, however at the cruise terminal at the end of the cruise we were ushered off of the ship with all of our luggage at 9.15am but our transfer to the airport was not until 1.45pm and our flight time 4.45pm.  The fact that we had to carry our luggage around with us for 7 and a half hours did not seem to concern Royal Caribbean crew at all. After this experience I will never travel with them again and i would recommend other people do not either.

I agree with all comments about a later flight or early airport check in. One other item not mentioned is Crown and Anchor society does offer clubs in Select cities with free non alcoholic beverage and snacks, bigger is they will hold luggage for you so not to feel encumbered.

Wow,  it is RCI fault that you booked a late flight ?  I have never thought twice about having to carry my bags around from getting off the ship until my flight.  On trips that I have a later flight or when cruising form my home port I go up to the lido with my bags and get breakfast and stay on the ship until about 10 when traffic clears.  In Miami we were able to check our luggage in at the airport in the morning and were free until an evening flight so we took the monorail from the airport to down town to look around.

You can pay to stay onboard.

Royal Caribbean is now offering a late checkout like that you can stay at the ship for a longer period, they can manage you're luggage while you use the ship facilities. You can book this on you're cruise planner and I guess this must be possible to arrange with guest services. Not sure if this is available in all cruises, but last two cruises I've made was possible. Don't blame RC

Im sorry you had to lug your bags, around all that time. Coyld you have booked an earlier flight? I really dont feel this is the ships fault as they have to turn the ship over for the new guests coming aboard.

You should've booked an earlier flight ... that's not RC's concern

Remember they have to clean the whole boat in around three hours and have it ready for the boarding passengers for the next sailing

ninaei    8 years ago

They are expecting a full cruise of guests arriving later that day, and they have to clean all the staterooms. Is there a cruise line that lets you stay onboard as late as you like?

Unfortunately cruise ships and terminals aren't like hotels that you can leave your luggage. Can't blame Royal Caribbean for that.
