Review summary

Our first 2 cruises on Oceania we had VERY positive experiences.  On this cruise we were very disappointed with with the service we received in the bar and at the Terrace Cafe, and a couple of times in the main dinning room.  The first 2 cruises there was someone always topping off your coffee, water, or even carrying your food to the table at the buffet.  The service was definitley lacking on this trip.  Although I am not a big drinker, when I am paying $10-$11 a drink, I would expect a better pour, NOT an exact shot in a large drink then filled with a mixer.  If  you want a "drink" they will offer to pout 2 a double, but also charge you.  We were also disappointed with the excursions offered in San Diego,  We thought we were going to the SD Zoo, but we noticed that it was the SD Zoo Safari.  Most of the guests on the excursion thought the same thing.  The bigger problem was the safari was an hour away and the coach did not pick us up until 12:45.  The park closes at 5.  We barely had 3 hours to be in the park when the excursion description stated we would have 4 hours.  Oceania did provide a 10% credit,  but we lost 25% of the time we had in the park.  On the positive side, the food in the specialty restaurants was excellent (especially the Polo Grill).  The service at the specialty restaurants was always great!  Cruise director and Captain were awesome!
