Buy all your shore excursions from individual companies not affiliated with the cruise line. You will save a ton of $$ . We used TJ TOURS and were very satisfied.

I do not recommend Princess Cruise to anyone, I am already telling all my friends about my disappointment with them, very disorganize and some of the crew not happy to be there. This cruise did not meet my expectations, that was very high.

Take a power strip! There is ONE outlet in the cabin! Be ready to fight your way to a table in the buffet area. It is crazy crowded in the mornings at ports! Everyone trying to eat before their excursions...take earplugs if your roommate snores!

Showroom seating capacity is insufficient so make sure to get in at least 30 minutes early to get a good seat.

Used anytime dining which opened at 5pm. No waiting and we were finished with plenty of time to make the first show. We got the same table and waiters each night. They knew what we liked and brought it with out asking.

Better to have a reservation or a scheduled dining than anytime dining. They will make you wait til after 7:45.

Although I'm not a smoker, I found the people on deck 17 aft to be quite friendly. There was coffee available every morning for guests if you wanted to start your day with an early stroll.

Buy the international cell plan for $10 a day and or get a hotspot for wifi. The ship's biggest downfall is the internet charges. I would choose a different company next time if they offered free wifi. It was difficult to do business away from home.

For a tour of the Baltic's I'd abuse looking beyond Princess for all your tours. We did our St Petersburgs tour for much less and saw more with an outside tour group. We also used them for Stockholm.

If you need stamps don't do to the front desk for they never have them. Buy them in St Pete for it is $1 to mail postcards to the states.

Automatic gratuity: Gratuity amounts depend on your cabin type. The Jr suite gratuity is $14.50 per person (yes, children too) per day. Gratuity is automatically charged to your credit card at the end of your cruise. If you REALLY don't think your crew people deserve that, you can go to guest services and have the amount adjusted, however, I discourage that because the people who serve you really do deserve (and depend on) the tips. Just make yourself aware that it is a part of the cost of cruising.
