Our favorite part was Sweden. Our disappointment was missing our first Port of Call, Estonia, because the winds were to strong to leave Germany. The service and friendliness of staff on Princess were not as we expected. I don't think we will cruise on Princess again.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Anytime dining wasn't anytime. We had to wait several times no matter which dining room we went to. (They had 3 dining rooms.). Staff wasn't very friendly, no matter where we dined.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Not much going on. Not much variety. Not very exciting.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Entertainment wasn't terrible, but wasn't great. Carnival has better entertainment, and we are not a fan of Carnival.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
We have a 14 year old son. He didn't travel with us this time, but we still checked out the facility for his age group. Very friendly staff, and very large, clean and an impressive place to hangout.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Very few staff were friendly. Seemed stressed and unhappy.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Was beautiful but not looking as new as it should be.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was more space than we expected. Closets and shelves were great. Layout was good. Cabin steward was good and friendly.
Ship tip
Better to have a reservation or a scheduled dining than anytime dining. They will make you wait til after 7:45.
I was on Regal Princess last year and it may be same Captain again. I took New England cruise and in Bar Harbor he decided to leave 2 hours early and then apologized for making a bad judgment as weather wasn't as he predicted. The next day he decided to skip entirely the port of Bay of Fundy due to arriving earlier and rain. The services on the ship are very good.
Maybe I am miss reading your post, if I am let me apologize in advance. You will not travel on Princess due to the fact that the ship could not leave home port and missed a stop due to safety concerns related to the weather. Is that correct?
