Review summary

I enjoyed the ship which was relatively new, and had several upgrades. The excursions were nice, but be aware that several cities will be very crowded, as you will be able to see many other cruise ships in the same port.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation was fast, even though I did not follow the time I was given to embark.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I was a little disappointed as the fixed time dining did not offer dishes from the countries we visited. On the other hand, the buffet experience was good, as we did not have to wait in lines to get the food. The pastry shop was a new idea that I liked very much, as it was a small area separated from the rest of the food in the buffet. The international cafe as always very delicious, serving food 24 hours.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I felt the fitness center was less supervised, but it was good. Different from other ships the usage of treadmill is not timed. I did not use much the outdoors activity in be ship, as it was a little cold. I, however, enjoyed the dances and other activities in the main atrium.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows with the Regal Princess dancers were superb! I enjoyed them very much. The costumes and the scenario were very luxurious. The singers and musicians who performed at the atrium were also very good.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Although I asked for a late fixed dining time, my table was set at an anytime dining room. The experience was not what I expected, I did not like it. Other than that, the general service received in the ship was good.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The common areas were clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
First of all, I have to mention about the shower. It is a much improved area, as you have a greater space to wash yourself. The TV is also much improved as it has a bigger screen, and the movies choices were really good, including recent ones. The cabin size was very decent, but it was lacking a sofa.

Ship tip

This is a relatively new ship (2014), so you can enjoy some upgrades from older ships 🚢.

Ports of call

Copenhagen, Denmark

3 out of 5
The port is in a deserted area, as it seems there's much construction going on around the port. If you have a late flight, You need to take a taxi to get to the port, and it is not cheap.I advise you to take the Debarked tour that takes about 8 hours, and end at the airport.

Oslo, Norway

5 out of 5
From the ship you can walk to the city center, the Opera House, etc. This time I did a bike tour around the city. I recommend it.

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

5 out of 5
Be aware that from Warnemunde to Berlim, it takes almost 2 hours by train. The good thing is that the train station is walking distance from the ship. It is a very tiring excursion, as it lasts almost 11 hours. There was also a train accident on the way back which delayed our return more than an hour. I was glad my excursion was with Princess, so they had to wait for us. The nice thing about Warnemunde is that people from the city came out to the port today bye to us.

Tallinn, Estonia

5 out of 5
The city center was walking distance from the ship.

St. Petersburg, Russian Federation

3 out of 5
I had the most outrageous crusing experience ever. We had to wait two hours and half in line outside the ship, under the sun, to get a visa to enter Russia. There 7 cruise ships in the port, so you can imagine how crowded the city was.

Helsinki, Finland

4 out of 5
The port was isolated from downtown. The city was kind of disappointing. Nothing special.

Stockholm, Sweden

5 out of 5
The city was nice, but there was not much time, as the ship arrived 7:00 am, and departed 1:00 pm. There was easy access from the ship to the city.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
My disembarkation experience was good as I mentioned before I had an excursion ending at the airport. I got my luggage only at the airport.

There are web sites that tell which ships in which ports. Do not go just ship number. We have some mega-sized cruise ships today. Lots of people.
