Review summary

Overall it would have been fine if the below didn't happen. - Got drinks while in port (Galveston). The drinks were 7.50 a piece times 2 people so $15.00 a round. I was not notified that there was an 18% gratuity REQUIRED and of course I never received a receipt. Nota big deal you might say? Nah, they doubled the drinks to $30.00 a piece plus put on a 28% gratuity on them. A total rip off to make more tips. So it was 38.40 per ROUND. - I ordered water, soda, and club sodas for the room at the end of the night and they charged me $47 for the drinks even though I have the drinks package. Seriously, what's the deal? - They charged me extra for drinks at several restaurants even though I have the package and I always asked for the best liquor that's included in my package. - The room was so hot I sweated through the night. Finally got it repaired after 5 nights but it was annoying. 5 total visits by repair men. 4 of those they didn't even go in the room, just worked on the access panel outside the room.

Maybe Margaritavilla c or Royal Caribbean would be more to your liking.

LOL - you bought drinks for the room and wonder why the package didn't cover it? Nice trolling...

I’m not sure I believe this review. Why wouldn’t you have gone to guest services to remedy the error? Also, reading the info on the website at booking, invoice through your TA if you didn’t self book - clearly tells you about cost of drinks in port AND the bartenders and servers do an excellent job of telling you about the port rules. Perhaps cruising isn’t for you. Maybe your cabin was too hot and that was your main complaint and you simply don’t like to cruise?

Sorry that you were disappointed but there are details that were available to you before the cruise. Example: at the Princess website, the very first sentence in the description of both Premiere and Plus beverage packages states the cost of each package "plus an 18% service charge". I recommend reading available information on your cruise that will keep you from being surprised (and disgruntled) while you travel. Nothing is "hidden", nor should come as a surprise. Happy cruising in the future!

You received a $25.00 credit because of Texas alcohol laws. The embarkation lines moved very fast as well as debarkation once cleared.
