The helicopter trip to the glacier in Skagway was phenomenal!! Walking with your glacier boots on the blue ice and seeing the crevasses is beyond words. It was pricey, but oh so worth it! It's an experience I will never forget!

Plan well in advance. There are a lot of things you must do before you cruise. Your travel agent should help you but you still have to take time and have everything well planned out. Travel with another couple or two. We met nice people but the memories you will share for a lifetime.

Do not bring extra surge protector, irons as they are taken at embarkation and returned at end of cruise.

I would not choose that ship if I want to be comfortable. Ship is way too old! We have sailed out from Galveston which we expected old ships as well, but it was much more pleasant than this ship.

I think the thing that I liked the most about the Radiance is that it is a smaller ship and more intimate. We were able to meet more people on this cruise than we have on larger ships.

Don't use the spa for service. Use it for Steam room and Sauna only. I got accupuncture and iothermie treatments. So excited. It was a first for both. The accupuncturist put the needles in me which took about 5 minutes and then left me for the rest of the service which was about 45 minutes plus she was late taking me into the room. She checked on me a few times then came in to take the needles out and tried to sell me product???? The iothermie specialist stayed in the room the majority of time and did a great job explaining the service and the expected results however, the results were minimal to non-existent and again, she tried selling me product. I understand goals and selling but, leaving me in a room for a service that I paid almost $200 for and seeing the accupuncturist for less than 10 minutes of the service and, then having her try to sell me product. Not interested. Save yourself some money and head aches- use the steam room and sauna and forget the treatments.

The ship is one of the smaller ones, but has everything needed for a cruise. From our cabin near the Centrum (elevators) everything was convenient. We had to walk a little to get forward to the theater and dining room areas.

Great shore excursions through shoreexcursions.com/priceline. Voom internet was good. They charge extra for everything now. Food and dessert quality has declined. You can bring two bottles of wine.
