Itinerary ok, but ship was out of date, and weather rainy most of the days. We had a much enjoyable time last time we cruise the Inland Passage, perhaps over 20 years ago.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
First, the ship was old we understand, but at least we expect decent furniture in the staterooms, if not decor. The mattress sagged, as well as the chair's cushion. The bathrooms definitely needed update, they have an unpleasant smell, and the shower itself was so tiny with a plastic shower curtain! The toilet seat rim was so narrow you never feel comfortable sitting on it. We just came back from Harmony of the Sea, what a night and day! The best thing was the captain sailed the ship to let us view Hubbard Glacier!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We did not go to the specialty restaurants, but the dining room and buffet foods were good, yet not enough choices for vegetarians in dining room (especially for main course).
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Karaoke, dancing in the Centrum. Karaoke in the bar is not as professional as in the Club.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
I think they are good! Director on the ship and his wife were talented, as well as Mr. Clark, a comedian who can impersonate so many different singers! I think they work really hard! Thanks!
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The dining room staff are good, the cabin attendant was not particularly attentive. Bath gel ran out, we had to ask for a refill. The tissue box was all emptied on the last day, there was no extra box of tissue provided.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Common area is clean and well-maintained, but the staterooms need to be updated badly!
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
The décor made the room dark and would not lift up your spirit. All other things mentioned before.
Ship tip
I would not choose that ship if I want to be comfortable. Ship is way too old! We have sailed out from Galveston which we expected old ships as well, but it was much more pleasant than this ship.
Sea Whales watching. 4 hours spent were a bit too long. We had to pay a lot for being at sea and watching the same thing again and again, mostly the backs of some whales, and never did one jump up nor show the whole body!
