Review summary

Great cruise, but very long with 12 days at sea and one day of 20-26 foot waves in the Pacific. We were ready to get off the boat after a day of 20-26 foot waves. Mr toads wild ride. Our highlight was snorkeling with the humpback mama and baby in Tahiti, and the all day jetski/atv adventure in Moorea.

no problems, enjoyed Honolulu before hand

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
They are saving money on quality. In the main dining, they have limited your choices on steaks and seafood, and charge extra for higher quality. In the windjammer buffet, the better the desserts looked, the worst the taste. You have to pay extra for good drinks including OJ. Alcoholic drinks are expensive, like $9-12 a drink plus a mandatory 18% tip automatically added.

Service and Staff

Royston, Ashok were great in main dining, and so was Iputu the room attendant.

Ship Quality

Ship tour was great

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This is the best cabin on the ship. Great sized room in the aft, with only 1 neighbor and a couch. Great ocean views through large sliding glass doors, with an extra large balcony with large panoramic views. Balcony is totally private and has table-2 chairs and a full deck chase. Worth the extra money.

Ship tip

Great shore excursions through shoreexcursions.com/. Voom internet was good. They charge extra for everything now. Food and dessert quality has declined. You can bring two bottles of wine.

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

Waited forever in long lines to get on the boat

Papeete, Tahiti

Easy, have to snorkel with the humpback whales, a must do since only in 3 places in the world.

Moorea, French Polynesia

5 out of 5
The best day of our lives. Tendered, but beautiful views. Must do the all day Jet ski and ATV adventure at Moorea activity ctr through shoreexcursions.com/priceline. We shared vehicles. Swam with over 30 black tip sharks and petted stingrays. Moorea looks like King Kongs island. Reminded me of Kauai.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia

4 out of 5
Tendered, beautiful water, but smaller than Moorea. Less to do. Diving was not good, just snorkel. Lots of history.

Cross International Dateline

Cool, but gained a day and lost a day, jet lag.

Wellington, New Zealand

Picton, New Zealand

Logging town, reminded me of Oregon. Not much to do, so nice half day kayak tour to see wildlife.

Sydney, Australia

Loved it. Reminded me of San Fran, Seattle, and Rome. Great port. Weekend market at the Rocks. Took a bike tour on Manly and have to go to the manly Beach. Taronga Zoo is best in the world.
