Good way to see Alaska in a quick and organized fashion. Loved the ports. Loved Alaska. Would love to go back and we would take a cruise again if we go.
The spa and entertainment were the only areas I would have rated anything less than a 3. The spa and the entertainment were a 2. The rest of the cruise was a 5.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Quick and easy. All of the documents and information that was sent prior to the cruise was VERY helpful.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Excellent Service from Reagan, Hubert and Sergii- 5 -for Main dining room for dinner service! 3 for quality of food in main dining room.
Did not visit the specialty restaurants so NA.
Windjammer- buffet was a 3 for quality of food and a 5 for service.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
To cold to use the outside pool. Indoor pool was closed for cleaning on 2 of the 7 days we were on the cruise. Fitness center had all of the eliptical machines facing the inside of the ship with all of the treadmills facing the beautiful views. Would have been nice to have a mix of both. Otherwise nice workout area.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Tried to enjoy some of the entertainment. One of the comedians performed twice. He acted like he would rather be any place else other than our cruise. Apparently his contract was for 30 minutes and by golly he wasn't going to start a minute early and he was done a minute early and just walked off of the stage. There was a Billy Joel performance that was good. The rest of the entertainment was below average.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
EXCELLENT main dining room service with Regan, Hubert and Sergii! Main dining was a 5 star. LOVED the young lady that was wearing oversized glasses saying Washie, Washie for all of the passengers when they came into the Windjammer for buffet with Purel. She made it fun and made me feel good about the cleanliness of the customers partaking of the buffet.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Would have been a 5 had we been able to use the pool.
Cabin / Stateroom

EXCELLENT! Would love to take this cruise again and would love to have this room! Balcony was FABULOUS!
Ship tip
Don't use the spa for service. Use it for Steam room and Sauna only. I got accupuncture and iothermie treatments. So excited. It was a first for both. The accupuncturist put the needles in me which took about 5 minutes and then left me for the rest of the service which was about 45 minutes plus she was late taking me into the room. She checked on me a few times then came in to take the needles out and tried to sell me product???? The iothermie specialist stayed in the room the majority of time and did a great job explaining the service and the expected results however, the results were minimal to non-existent and again, she tried selling me product.
I understand goals and selling but, leaving me in a room for a service that I paid almost $200 for and seeing the accupuncturist for less than 10 minutes of the service and, then having her try to sell me product. Not interested. Save yourself some money and head aches- use the steam room and sauna and forget the treatments.
Loved the Lumberjack show! Must see! Fun and interactive. Good shopping in Ketchikan. Great place to get gifts and trinkets for your visit to the area. Skagway had good shopping for gifts and trinkets as well. Allot of higher end shopping at Juneau.
Yes, whale watching. We saw about 8-10 humpback whales and one actually breached the water while we were out on the water. Same day we saw about 30 Bald Eagles feasting on fish in the bay where we launched. Sea Lions and seal were out as well. Didn't use the ships Excursions. We used Juneau Tours and Whale Watching and Capt. Dirk, Jacob and Mark were GREAT! They also had an AMAZING BOAT and gave us the time of our life!
Used the tram- loved the tram and, we visited Lady Baltimore at the top of Mt. Roberts and the Tram- Lady Baltimore which is a beautiful Bald Eagle!
We took on carry on bags and backpacks so our disembarkation was very easy. We also used ACT BIGBUS tours on our trip to Anchorage. It was a 8 hour tour led by Alan and he gave us more than our monies worth!
