Review summary

We had a great cruise and land tour of Alaska. Many great memories. We look forward to cruising Royal Caribbean in the future. We hope to do a large ship next time.

Embarkation

We walked right on board with good directions from all the people set up to keep the lines flowing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We have not cruised in over ten years and found the specialty restaurants and my time dining to be a lot different than what we remembered from years past. The dining used to be a fun time with your servers. Now it is just eat and leave. Not as relaxing and fun as in the past.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the games and activities in the Centrum.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

We are seniors sailing as a twosome.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All were very helpful. Room steward was always available and picked up room each time we left. My time dining we had a different service staff each evening.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was easy to find our way around. The elevators were all in one area which worked out nicely for us as we were just off the area of elevators.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I was pleasantly surprised by the extra drawers and shelf space for our clothing. We did not have to utilize under the bed for suitcases.

Ship tip

Do not bring extra surge protector, irons as they are taken at embarkation and returned at end of cruise.

We took in the Suspension Bridge. It was a real treat. Enjoyed the views and wild life.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Saw bald eagles, sea lions and totem poles. We could not get over how close the town is to the snow capped mountain.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

We just walked around the port. Cold and drizzle day.

Juneau, Alaska

Mendenhall Glacier was beautiful. Our guide was very informative especially about being a local who lives there year round.

Skagway, Alaska

We took the Yukon Pass excursion. Plenty of bathroom breaks and I was able to get the Welcome to Alaska sign to add to my collection of States.

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska Did not visit port

Disembarkation

It was early but really smooth. We did not have to claim our luggage. We walked off the ship and into our excursion bus. The driver and guide were very informative and friendly.
