Embarkation

Very easy and the various crews (security, port, cruise) were very friendly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was great throughout our trip. We loved having options to choose from every night.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Activities were good and enjoyable. Trivia, Sudoku and games were fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Every single theater show was phenomenal! Tango show was incredible.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
It kept them entertained, engaged and out of trouble. They made lots of friends while in the activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room stewards were very accommodating and very professional. Waiters were phenomenal and made our dining experiences special. Overall the crew were very nice and inviting.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Overall we found the ship to clean and enjoyable. The Windjammer gets quite crowded at its peak times and the staff would do their best to keep us, but having other food options (pool cafe and hot dogs stand - this was my favorite) made it easy to get a snack while we waited. Restrooms around this area needed more attention, but were serviced regularly.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Size was good for two occupants, but I can see it being tight for more. It had enough room for our needs and met our expectations.

Ship tip

Take time to explore the ship, as there are a lot of hidden places that you may otherwise miss, and find your way to the bow/helipad where you can take in the views (bring a jacket).

Ports of call

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
We were very impress with how close to the glacier the cruise ship was able to get, the maneuvering to allow for all passengers to get an unobstructed view of the glacier and the captain's commentary over the loudspeaker.

Juneau, Alaska

3 out of 5
The lift to the top of the mountain was nice, but we were a bit underwhelmed at this port/city, given that its just shopping with few attractions.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed this port, mainly for the natural beauty of the location, the rocky shores (tidepools) and the historic cannery. There seemed to be a lot of great excursions, but we found the paid gondola to the top of the mountain not to be worth it.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
We enjoyed our excursion at Ketchikan, and the shopping along the waterside. Otherwise the port itself did not provide much. I feel this is a good starting point (for northbound cruises) since the scenery gets better as you go north.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska
