Review summary

We booked the northbound cruise with pre and post tour! The Canadian Rockies are amazing, there's lots of glaciers and tours along the way. The cruise is as expected of Royal. Post cruise Alaska tour ends at Fairbanks. Denali national park is a must go! We extended our tour to visit the Artic circle and stayed a night at coldfoot for the northern lights!

Ship experiences

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Balcony is a must for Alaskan cruises! You can watch the world sail but while looking out for whales and dolphins! Hubbard Glacier will be right off your cabin! The balcony cabin comes with standard amenities. Reasonably sized for two adults. Not recommended for bigger party.

Ship tip

Shore excursion get sold out quickly. Book them early online! Check the timing of the tours, you may get to book two tours in a day!

You must have been on the lucky side of the ship. I read on another review that only one side of the ship got to see Hubbard Glacier.
