No excursion. Stayed the night before the cruise and it was expensive but hip.

Ketchikan, Alaska

No to excursion. Needed street repair made walking difficult downtown. Friendly locals directed us to totem pole museum.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

3 out of 5
No to excursion. Seemed like the end of the world and possible launching point for expensive excursions.

Juneau, Alaska

We did Mendenhall glacier and Glacier Gardens, which was a happy surprise as Gardens were unique plantings in tree trunks and we went to Thunder Mtn through the Tongass temperate rain forest. Not enough time at Mendenhall Glacier.

Skagway, Alaska

3 out of 5
Yes we took the bus to Klondike summit. Views were spectacular but guide was man of few words.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

4 out of 5
No, we saw the Glacier from the ship and the weather was beautiful

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

5 out of 5
Yes. 8 hour Kenai Peninsula with airport transport. Long day. Alaska marine museum seemed like an add on. Ship was cold due to other travelers exiting and entering the cabin. Food and staff were good.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
See comment about long day. When smoother than embarking.
