Alaska Cruise

Sail Date: May 15, 2015

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Inside

Royal Caribbean is getting worse and worse as the years go by. The food and entertainment is nothing like it use to be. The only thing still good is the dining room waiters, assistants and cabin workers.  All the ports of call are commercialized to the max. It is not the Alaskan wild and locals it is like a carnival atmosphere.

Ship Quality
Good for today's standards
Food and Dining
Not as good as it was before
Service and Staff
Dining room, and small food locations had very good service. Cabin workers were also very good.
Only a couple shows were up to standard
Children's Programs
Onboard Activities
Not bad on this trip mostly for younger generations
Destinations and Excursions
Too commercialized
Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia
Arriving there was good, leaving was a bad experience, very slow and aggravating
Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska
It was very beautiful to see
Ketchikan, Alaska
Nicest stop, a place I would return to independently
Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
Not much there, small and very commercialized
Juneau, Alaska
Good whale watching but expensive
Skagway, Alaska
Good place to go out on your own or a shuttle they have for $5 all day off and on
Cruise Hubbard Glacier
Very nice if the weather is nice
Seward (Anchorage), Alaska
Last stop, many people getting off. I stayed on and back to Van Couver. I would NOT reommend doing this. Food, ports and entertainment is all the same

The ship is fairly nice but Royal Carribean is lacking
