Great time!!!

Sail Date: May 16, 2014

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was a long planned retirement cruise and we had a really great time!  Enjoyed all of the ports and while it was cool as we chose to go in May, the upside was that most of the ports were not as crowded :)  Loved our balcony room, the food, and all the wonderful scenery...

Ship Quality
It is an older ship, but well taken care og and just the right size to feel like you won't get lost!
Food and Dining
Really enjoyed our dinners in the dining room...
Service and Staff
We had wonderful staff both in our stateroom and at dinner!
Loved all of the shows we attended.
Children's Programs N/A
Onboard Activities
Only did a few, but liked what we did...
Destinations and Excursions
Explore the ports to really get a feel for them :)
Cabin / Stateroom
Will always cruise with a balcony - loved sleeping with sliding door open no matter how cool it was!
Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia
Be sure to bike around Stanley Park!
Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska
Wish the ship would have provided a 'map' or itinerary of what we seeing....
Ketchikan, Alaska
Go to the Tourist Office and get a 'Walking Tour' map - do it!
Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
walk out into the woods, along the beach, and then in to town to get a real feel for what living on the passage is really like.
Juneau, Alaska
Get out of the tourist riden portside and get out to Mendenhall Glacier!!!!
Skagway, Alaska
I know the train is a big draw, but we took a small tour bus (15 people) and it was fabulous as they stopped several times along the way for pictures AND it follows the same course as the train...
Cruise Hubbard Glacier
We were so lucky to have a fabulous day to view this Bay... I am sure it wold not have been so impressive of the weather had not cooperated.
Seward (Anchorage), Alaska
Sleepy fishing town, but lots to do - Take an 'I-did-a-ride Tour' and walk out to Exit Glacier!

Early 'My Time Dining' times means less waiting and they are never out of what you want!
