Review summary

It was a great cruise to Alaska. I would do it again to see more and do different excursions. The Royal Caribbean staff was wonderful. Ship was beautiful and the destination was breathtaking!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
To be boarding in pouring rain was a little difficult but the process went fast and smooth as possible

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The My Time Dining Room service and food was exceptional. The Specialty Restaurant, Jamie's Italian was very good. The Buffet was acceptable, not outstanding, but acceptable for feeding so many different foods to so many people. Room service was prompt and delivered at the specified times.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Hot tub, trivia games, fitness center. I enjoyed the fitness center but they only had one free stretch class scheduled each morning and so many people would show up that they ran out of mats and space and people were up in the equipment areas doing the stretch class. They should have scheduled a few more free classes.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Saw the ship orchestra and a cover band in main theaters and both were exceptional, entertainment (singers) in bars were very good.

Children's Programs

No kids with me

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
My stateroom attendant, Leon was amazing. He anticipated and met our every need and then some! Our waiter and especially our assistant waiter in the main dining room were exceptional. Madjumar was attentive and Michelle remembered what we liked every evening.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Rooms were good and very efficient. Layout of the ship seemed to work well for my activities. It was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size was perfect, never felt cramped. The storage was very efficient, and it was always clean.

Ship tip

If you are going to Alaska, bring several layers of clothes and rain gear!

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
The port was efficient enough. We did the tour of the city from the port to the airport on the final day and it was good.

Sitka, Alaska

We did the Raptor Center. Port was fine. Excursion was good.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We did the train and the sled dogs. Great train ride and great to visit with the sled dogs. This was our favorite excursion. Port was fine.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
It was beautiful and glad we had a room with a balcony and that it wasn't raining!

Juneau, Alaska

Port was fine. We did the Mendenhall Glacier and it was great! We did the Salmon Bake and it was our least favorite excursion. Long lines, cold, not enough unit heaters, not enough staff to help get drinks, food, etc. Food was nothing special. A meal back on the ship would have been much better.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
We did the city tour excursion, and it was good. We wished we would have had more time on shore at this location. Port was fine.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was great. We did self assist and carried our own luggage and got right off in no time.
