Review summary

It was an "ok" cruise but not exceptional. We cruise to enjoy the sights and relax and eat well. The closure of the Solarium Bistro was very disappointing. It is the healthy choice and for adults only. That was taken from us which in turn made everything else very crowded. We would have cancelled the cruise had we known the Solarium Bistro would be closed. Then to be told "thank you for understanding" was frustrating. We are the most "understanding" people in the world, but you took our money and did not provide what you promised and advertised.

Embarkation

Terrific

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was ok but not the best we have experienced. We were so disappointed that the Solarium Bistro was closed the entire time. We should have been told that it would not be open so we could have cancelled the cruise.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The gym was excellent.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The best entertainment was the Royal Carribean orchestra. The other shows in 270 and elsewhere were not good. I don't know who you are trying to appeal to but with me you missed the mark. I like normal stuff.

Children's Programs

We had no children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was excellent. Almost 100% of the staff was courteous and kind. Some were going through the motions. The staff at the dining room and Windjammer were very nice and kind.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship seemed more crowded than usual, but it was always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was well maintained, and the steward could not have been nicer. We have no complaints with the cabin except it was a bit noisy. Probably the noisiest ship to date. it sounded like a washing machine above us.

Ports of call

Sitka, Alaska

We did not do an excursion we did walk around town. It really was not very clean. The people were nice.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
The best part of the whole trip. It was a real genuine Alaskan experience, and everyone was extremely nice.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

4 out of 5
What we saw was beautiful. We had to turn around because of ice.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
We walked around town and shopped. It was nice but not as exceptional as Skagway.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

We were not feeling like getting off the ship.

Disembarkation
