Review summary

Nice cruise but the main feature, the glacier, was left out.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
I have limited mobility and I had to climb a steep ramp from the waterfront to the mid-height of the ship.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington Did not visit port

We started from Seattle.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
Nice town.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Nice town, old architecture, could be a movie set for an Alaska movie.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

1 out of 5
Although this was a glacier cruise we didn't go near any glacier. Advertisements were for glaciers, moose, bear, otters, and other wild animals, interesting coastline. Non of this happened. All we saw was open ocean when underway during the day. At night we were near land but we couldn't see it.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Nice town. Best place to pick up souveniers.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

We pulled in to this port too late in the day. Any tour would have been mostly at night and would have been a waste of time and money.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Amazingly fast and coordinated considering thousands getting off and thousands getting on at the same time.

Sorry, you didn't get to.see a glacier. Royal isn't the best line for Alaska. Mendenhall Glacier is near Juneau. Best to take a cab, bus, or excursion there to guarantee seeing one.
