Review summary

I wouod absolutely do it again and splurge for the balcony. The food was good, the activities were fun, the ship was clean, the staff was amazing and the view were incredible. It was worth it for sure. The only negative I have is that you don't get enough time in each place with so many people getting off the ship or multiple ships being there. There are only so many shuttles or transportation methods to get that many people around.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We used a shuttle service and was dropped off right at the terminal with no issues. There were staff everywhere telling you where to go and where to put your luggage. The lines to get through were faster than I thought after reading reviews. The staff was great at guiding you where to go and answering questions.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
This was my first cruise and the food was great, especially in the main dining room. The wait staff, shout out to Michelle, was wonderful. She really made the dining experience fun and would suggest things to try. The windjammer was also good. The breakfast was my teenage son's favorite. There are so many options.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
If you were bored on the ship it was your own fault. There were always activities even if you stayed on the boat while everybody was out in excursions. There are activities that are for adults, kids and the family. The staff makes it so much fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I only went to one show, but it was their final show of the trip and it was good.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My son is 13 and absolutely loved it. They had silent dance parties for them and had games for all ages. He also enjoyed the hot tub with his friends and the pool.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were always attending promptly to whatever you needed and tried hard to accommodate your wishes. The waiter we had was beyond super and made dinner so much fun.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was so clean inside and out. There were always staff up doing something. I woke up super early one morning and went to get coffee and there were staff sanitizing everything. They never stop. I can't imagine what the beyond the scenes is like on the boat. It's unreal.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was an interior. It was cramped for 3 people, but we didn't spend much time in there. If we were all three in there at the same time then it was just for sleeping usually. The room was always clean. Very very clean.

Ship tip

If you drink any amount of pop then buy the package when it's on sale. Gratuity and cost add up pretty fast. I would absolutely recommend a balcony for the Alaskan cruise. Spend the money. I will next time. You don't need to spend extras on anything on the boat so save the money for excursions. I never bought alcohol on the ship, but several people I know did and it adds up also. Participate in the activities. It's fun and very interactive.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

It's sad to say that as much as I wanted to do and see in Seattle, it was awful. We watched people do drugs on the street and people stealing others items right on the street near Pike Place Market. It's so crowded and you can't get through anywhere.

Sitka, Alaska

This was a beautiful, quiet, small town. We ate at Cold Water and opted for the fresh halibut and smoked salmon dip. You won't be disappointed. We just walked around town and did our own thing and I'm glad we did.

Skagway, Alaska

We did the train ride and it was amazing. You won't be sorry if you do it. Skagway is beautiful and old time feeling. There are a lot of shops also.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
It was the most beautiful part of the trip. The water and ice were unreal. We had beautiful weather so we got to go in a decent ways, but no fog so we could really see everything.

Juneau, Alaska

This town is all along the water. It is small, but there is so much going on. We ate at Tracy's Crab Shack 2. Not the one on the dock, but the other one. It was not crowded at all and the food was pricey but oh so worth it. The Shirt Co. At the end of the dock was extremely packed. You could barely get around in there let alone look at anything. The prices were very good though.

Victoria, British Columbia

This was a very beautiful town and port. It isn't a very long time that we had in port so we felt extremely rushed to do anything. We just got some souvenirs and walked around then went back to the boat.

Disembarkation

We used their valet service to SeaTac and it was amazing. We put our luggage that was checked out the night before with all the info we needed and that was it. They give you a paper earlier in the week to fill out for the service. They charge your seapass for the checked bags and you don't have to go through that at the airport. We had zero trouble getting off.
