Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
dining rooms were clean, service was great, food was fine with lots of variety.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
My wife loved the fitness and health activities, the rock wall was fine, the pools seemed nice but were full as can be expected.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The performers were talented no doubt, the musicians were great. The one complaint we have is the smattering of different modern agendas mixed in with the entertainment. For a family friendly cruise we were disappointed.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Waiters 10/10, room stewards 10/10, Ship personnel(guest services/kitchen prep) 3/10. Our room was under the Music Hall kitchen and the personnel made lots of noise and either kept us awake or woke us up at 5am for about 5 days. The first few nights we didn't say anything, we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt thinking that something could have dropped or some other accident. When we went to guest services they initially didn't do anything. We even asked if we could sleep in another room at night. After the third complaint the kitchen seemed to quiet down. There was also an issue with the charges and the billing process while onboard, it created a headache which became my problem. We got one good night of sleep during the whole trip, and their charging issue was unexpected fun.
Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
Noise from the kitchen above, guest services was slow to react, or employees different care about the noise from steam pans and oven racks. Other than the noise waking us up at 5am or keeping us awake at 1130. The room was clean and was as expected.
Ship tip
Do lots of research about the room you choose. What is above, below, beside.
We did an excursion to Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii. The time was very short, a couple(2) more hours would have been nice - we were all worried and had to rush to get back on time. We made it back with less than a half hour to spare.
The blue roofs were nice and the visit to the brewery/winery. There were three ships about 12,000 people from what we understood. It was overrun with people, we had to squeeze between people and just wanted to get out of there. I see this as a failure of Royal Caribbean to plan properly, couldn't they have adjusted the schedule for a time when there were less people, perhaps the only ship, to help their customers enjoy the time?
Ephesus was good and we enjoyed it, there was enough time to do what we wanted without feeling rushed. The port had issues due to their management policies from the corporation that runs the port for the government.
In Crete we had plenty of time, by the end of the trip and lack of sleep from the kitchen noise above, we went back to the ship early and tried to sleep. We would like to go back to Crete.
Thanks for sharing your review. Your tip says it all. Too bad you had to learn from a bad experience instead of choosing a room away from all that noise.
