Ship Quality

5 out of 5
only thing that could be better was the cleanliness of windows across the ship. Could barely take clear pictures.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
good size and comfort. Balcony rail and glass could use some cleaning.

Ship tip

great ship. Nothing to worry about.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

4 out of 5
Not much around this area. It was just the port of departure. About 1-2h drive from the airport.

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
Location is beautiful and a lot to do nearby (Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii, and Naples itself). Shore excursion quality was bad though, from multiple reports of people we talked to. Consider organizing something on your own.

Santorini, Greece

5 out of 5
We did on our own - took the tender boat to Fira followed by a boat transfer + Bus to Oia. Best decision. We enjoyed on our time without the crowds and took the bus transfer back to Fira. Then skipped the crowded cable car in favor of walking down (not for everyone).

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
excellent shore excursion

Mykonos, Greece

5 out of 5
Elia beach transfer shore excursion in the morning + downtown on our own in the afternoon. Great choice by shuttle boat.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
Beautiful city. Could have just transferred to Plakka though and walked up Acropolis. Tour was meh.

Souda (Chania), Crete

5 out of 5
On our own - downtown. Very nice place with tons of things to do, but with this port of call in particular, Royal should have increased the hours of stay so that we could explore the south and the mountains.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Organized, but a bit confusing where to exit. Some folks going to Gangway 2, then instructed to go to level 4 to only then find out it was on level 5.
