Oasis is our favorite ship with amazing staff and service and the best class of ship for fun, entertainment and wide open spaces.

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The service is amazing, friendly and professional. It truly enhances the vacation and makes me look forward to dine. As for the food, the variety is plentiful and overwhelming. The quality is good. The flavors are bland and unexciting. Vegetarians - you are mostly stuck with salads, grilled veggies and side dishes. No plant-based alternative meats except a terrible veggie burger dark ages style upon request.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The ship is packed with top notch fun and energetic staff. Zipline, slides, ice skating, golf, flow riders, trivia, game shows, you name it.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The ice show is fun but more aimed at kids. The symphony of the seas ice show is way better. The aqua show on Oasis is amazing - exciting for young and old. The Tribute band series, this time Aerosmith last time we were on was Led Zepplin - these are so great and the bands so talented. We really enjoyed the old school headliners as well and magic show. The one thing that we didn't like was the production show Cats. The cast is talented, we just found the show irritating, and so did everyone I spoke with. When they had a singing performance the next day with the cast, very few people showed up.
Children's Programs

Service and Staff

There are two reasons why this is the best ship in the world: 1) the ship itself 2) The service. They are experts at friendliness, kindness and so enjoyable to speak with. We feel like they are our friends from room attendant to sever in the main Dining, and even the game show host, they would stop and chat and always have a smile for you whenever you see them. They are also respectful, and professional, remembering your preferences.
Ship Quality

We love all the open air unique to Oasis class ships with the central park and boardwalk, where you don't have to go to the top decks or mechanical narrow outer rims to be outside. The ship is 13 years old but renovated and feels new. Great energy and feel throughout the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

Decent sized for a neighborhood room over looking Centeal park. Very clean.
Ship tip
Make sure to use the daily calendar on the app to organize your days. There is so much to do and you don't want to miss anything. Aqua show is a must and make sure to be one of the few in the world to snorkel the carribean and ice skate on the same day!
I thought it would be silly and cheesy, because cruising should go to foregin places and new countries, not a money grab fake place. But they make it a wonderful destination, so easy to find a beautiful scenic beach or pool side to relax, lovely snorkeling yourself if you bring or buy your own, really impressive lunch and snacks included with your ship fare, and tons for kids and thrill seekers.
It is one of the most developed and popular ports for cruise ships. Very hard to find public or cheaper transportation. Overpriced but fun markets. Hard to get to a free beach, it's all taken up by resorts that you have pay ridiculous amounts for the day to enter. Good snorkeling but Honduras is better imo. If you enjoy spending a fortune this port is a chance to do things like a submarine off road terrestrial vehicles Good luck finding a western cruise on a good ship that skips this port!
Honduras is extremely poor, but they do okay on this island because of tourism. It is lovely to take a boat tour around the island with some of the best reef and snorkeling I have seen and lovely villages. There isn't much to see on land. Just poor run down areas. They have one nice beach on the island with restaurants. The others are tiny barely call them a beach with just a few spots to sit and not white sand or anything.
Best thing is to taxi or walk 30 min to Mahahual Beach area. It is fun, has a real Mexican flare with small resorts, markets, and beautiful beach. You can snorkel off shore too. Free internet at the port as well if you get the password from any shop. If you are lazy you can sit by the beach and pool right by the port if you order a drink.
