Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate at the main dining for dinner each night and the food was great. The other complimentary options were also great, but we are not fancy people with expensive taste. My only complaint was not having dairy free options for my coffee readily available. I had to hunt to find any kind of dairy free milk.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

The water show was incredible! The comedians and magic show were also really good.

Service and Staff

All the staff was so friendly and helpful. No complaints!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very clean. This is a big ship and walking to everything does take time. The elevators often took a long time to arrive or were full. We took the stairs a lot and there are quite a few flights. If you are in a wheelchair, you may have issues. While getting ready to disembark, there was no chance of getting on an elevator. Definitely don't take your luggage off the ship yourself. You will be there forever waiting for an elevator that isn't full.

Cabin / Stateroom

There were 4 of us and each night our couch was turned in to the bed by our attendant and put turned back into a couch in the morning. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room so it suited us just fine. I definitely recommend the ocean view balcony.

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

We booked the Chaccoben Ruins excursion through the cruise line. I recommend the exclusive one because you will be in a van with only a few people. We rode the bus which was fine, but it was hard to keep up with our tour guide and group with so many people at the Ruins. It was more enjoyable than I expected and I learned a lot. We even saw wild monkeys in the trees.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

We booked our own excursion through Victor Bodden tours. We had a private driver and got to pick what we did. We ziplined and visited an animal sanctuary where we held a sloth and had a monkey jump on us. Then...the BEST part....we got to snorkel freely with dolphins. It was the most amazing experience of my life! The dolphins played with us and swam beside us all by their choice. You could watch them playing right underneath you. The cruise line does not offer this experience but it is a must do if you are in Roatan. Then our driver took us to a restaurant to eat Pupusas which I requested. We got back to the ship with lots of time to spare.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We enjoyed our time on the island. It is clean and has plenty of chairs. The food was also good. We did the swimming with pigs and it was not good. Very touristy. Basically it is a big photo opt. You can get in the water and they will attempt to get a pig to swim to you, snap a photo, and that is it. You don't really get to swim with pigs. They will also hold up food and get the pigs to jump on you while on land so you can take a picture. I was very disappointed because this is not the original pig island you see on TV. My kids did enjoy it though.

Cozumel, Mexico

We booked the Amazing Race Cozumel on our own after the cruise line stopped offering it. Look up their website to book. It is a very easy, quick, cheap taxi ride to the start. The people running it are amazing and it is so much fun. It is a shame the cruise line won't offer it due to Covid. It was very Covid safe and the company takes every precaution. If you like the Amazing Race show, you will LOVE this excursion. It was one of the best excursions we did.

Miami, Florida

We did the Everglades tour offered after getting off the ship and we were dropped off at the airport after. We enjoyed it.

Disembarkation

Shockingly quick to get off the ship even with a line of people. Facial recognition really made things go faster. The worse part is getting an elevator to the gangway level. Also, there is an escalator in the terminal that gets backed up and people were fighting to get on so they shut one side down for safety which caused an even bigger backup. The experience was overall better than expected.
