Review summary

NCL is great at hospitality but seem disorganized when dealing with a public health emergency. We became infected with COVID on the cruise and the response was slow and seemed improvised. Medical issues were dealt with in a "cranky guest" attitude rather than with professional medical seriousness. If you plan taking a cruise, be prepared to deal with medical issues yourself.

Unorganized and slow. No clear signage and lack of staff.

Be prepared to deal with a COVID outbreak yourself. Bring your own tests and , if you can, stock up on Plaxad. Expect little help form the medical staff. .

Sick with COVID, we were left to our own devices. We felt abandoned and the impression that once off the ship, we were no longer their problem.

Interesting comments on your comments. Some more info would be helpful for us who are about to cruise again this summer. Thanks for the info.

What do you expect them to do? Did you go to the medical doctor? If you did you world have been quarantined in your room. All the cruise lines are doing the best they can to continue to deal with covid while keeping the ships running. You choose to sail during these times.

Sorry to hear you've got COVID on a cruise. My husband and I both got it a couple of days ago and it's no fun even being at home with med. care and drugs easily available. I hope you feel much better and recover fully. What's strange is that all companies were supposed to have Covid protocol developed and tried before even going back to cruising.

Sorry you got Covid, unfortunately it’s common on ships now and a risk we have to take if we want to cruise. I’ve accepted I may get covid but how NCL handle the situation is what I’d like more info on. Did you test positive during the cruise and NCL didn’t care, or was it a test you got for disembarking to fly home? What protocols weren’t followed?
