Review summary

The cruise itself was a means of transportation for us to view the beautiful Inside Passage and it did not fail. Our captain was very accommodating to changes in itinerary (Tracy Arm was closed off due to ice and he took us through the Endicott Arm which was breathtaking). For the most part, the crew was wonderful and we enjoyed our experience.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived in Seward, Alaska around 2:15 p.m. on embarkation day. Walked onto the ship in less than 5 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We were not a fan of the buffets, however, the main dining rooms had very good food and excellent staff. We did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We went to the comedy shows every evening and they were very funny. The cruise ship was more of a mode of transportation for us.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Comedians were very funny.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
We had fantastic service from our room steward Max. He was so attentive and very sweet. Renauld was exceptional - he was the bar/wine steward and popped up just about every time we sat down. We enjoyed his company and exceptional service. The main dining room staff in both main dining rooms were very good and very attentive to all your needs.

Ship Quality

She's old...but clean and had everything you need to enjoy beautiful Alaska. We were not there to stay inside the ship. We were on our balcony if we were not in port.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was the perfect size for the two of us. It was very clean. The bathroom had plenty of space for a cruise ship bathroom. The views from the balcony were amazing.

Ship tip

She's old but good. Don't expect a mega ship. She has what you need.

Ports of call

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska Did not visit port

We got to the ship and stayed on due to being tired.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Beautiful day at this port. Went on an amazing whale watching tour outside of the cruise excursions (Glacier Wind Charters - 15 stars!!) - and saw humpback whales bubble feeding 50 feet from our boat, 3 orca whales swimming around and seals, bald eagles and sea otters.

Juneau, Alaska

Highly suggest booking an excursion - we did not and had fun walking around town but we were only in port for 5 hours.

Cruise Sawyer Glacier Did not visit port

Skagway, Alaska

Cute town - great train ride. Awesome guide through Chilkoot Charters. Mike was our guide and was born and raised in Skagway. Gave us an extra couple trips through town to talk about the history of the town. Very informative.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Great town. We did a kayaking trip that was the perfect amount of time and was beautiful.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Gorgeous city!!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We chose the easy disembarkation (you take your luggage off the ship) and we left the ship at 8:02 and were outside Canada Place by 8:18. Quick and painless. Perfect way to end the cruise - no lines.
