Never again on Norwegian Cruise Line

Sail Date: June 08, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Check-in process was very slow and inefficient. People were being trained while doing their job.

The stateroom was good!

Food was terrible!!! Service slow! Personnel was poorly informed.

The only good part of the cruise was the day in Glacier Bay with a ranger.

Highly recommend "Hurtigruten", another Norwegian cruise line which offers the service and food one likes to remember and recommend.

We will not recommend NCL to anybody!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
cheap "junk" food, or overcooked and tasteless. No Alaskan seafood!!! Including restaurants.
Cabin / Stateroom
Nicely kept, plenty of hot water, balcony was great.
Service and Staff
Best service was by our steward on deck 10. Others were slow and not well trained.
Sun Showband was great!
Destinations and Excursions
Juneau, Alaska
Mendenhall glacier and tram!
Cruise Glacier Bay
Magnificent scenery!!! Very informative introductions by rangers!
Cruise Hubbard Glacier
Worthwhile seeing!

Food was bad at the cafeteria and most restaurants - La Cucina, Le Bistro and more than bad Las Ramblas!
Again the over all ship was fine, our staterooms was great. Best days were the last two: Glacier Bay with the rangers was tops! and Hubbard glacier. Primarily because of the food, we would nev
