7 Night Western Caribbean (Tampa Roundtrip)
Sail Date: March 08, 2015
Ship: Norwegian Sun
Cabin Type: Inside
Cabin Number: 6310
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 2 years ago

I travelled with my husband and 2 of his sisters.  We had cabins that were close together.  The cabin stewards were friendly and attentive, the food was great in the buffet as well as the main dining rooms, and the weather couldn't have been nicer!  We enjoyed getting to know the ladies who worked in the jewelry store onboard;  they went far and beyond our expectations to ask how our day was going, and seemed always genuinely happy to see us!  A big shout out to Michelle, Michele, and Inis!  We love you gals!  Our cabins were nice and quiet, and the ports were very fun and informative.  My 2 sister-in-laws especially enjoyed being pulled around by the dolphins in Cozumel during their excursion.  Embarkation was fast and easy as was debarkation.  We carried our own bags off the ship.  I really have no complaints.  The staff seemed happier than on other cruise lines.  This was our second NCL cruise, and it won't be our last.

Food and Dining

We thought the food was fabulous everywhere we dined.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The trivia games were fine, but the staff seemed bored doing them.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I went to the general time (family) comedy show and it was identical to the one we had seen a year prior.

Children's Programs

Didn't need them.

Service and Staff

Michele, Michelle, and Inis (and Alberto and Dayne) were especially knowledgeable and kind in the jewelry store and surrounding areas. We left friends!!

Ship Quality

This ship was older, but everything was spotless!

Cabin / Stateroom

Perfect for the 2 of us. Nice and clean, and the mattress was very comfortable. No sagging!

Ship Tip

Take your time to get to know the ship. Although it was on the small side, we had an especially hard time finding our way around, because it was laid out oddly. Our cabin was on 6a, and we had to ask for help finding it. Generally we had to walk through bars, etc. to get to where we needed to go.
