If you like to have decent meals, buy the additional restaurant packages. Don't rely on the dine in.

Don't expect fine dining, even in the "pay extra" restaurants but remember the cost of the cruise. What would you expect.

Go to the market cafe for breakfast and maybe even lunch (have lunch on shore on this cruise to sample local cruisine); much faster service with the same food.

This ship is getting old in todays world of cruise ships. Needs a lot of up grading.

We suggest you try every one of the specialty restaurants. they all have something different to offer, and they do a very good job in preparing it nightly.

We highly recommend spending the extra money to book a portside (right) balcony cabin in the ship's mid-section for a cruise of this length. The additional stability during rough seas as well as the privacy to sit and enjoy the views of the coastline as you travel is well worth the extra expense.

A quiet place to read is the children's play area at the back of the ship

If you're booked for anytime dining you can still make a reservation for a dining room table before 5:00 p.m.

If you get a suite, you are entitled to eat breakfast and lunch in Cagneys, a specialty restaurant. The food and service was excellent there. We ate dinner every evening in the Versailles. The line was usually long and some of the servers were much faster than others. We learned to ask for certain servers and always went about 15 min before the restaurnat opened to avoid the long line. Being able to sit down and be served is important to my husband.
