My first thought is pick a different ship, but that is a little harsh, it just wasn’t as good as other NCL ships we’ve been on.

It was an overall incredible experience, with the exception of the little glitch concerning kids programs. They were very diligent about cleanliness, entertainment was wonderful. Really enjoyed Marco Romano and Paradis show. Costumes, etc. were exceptional. Ports were great. It was overall well organized

Make sure you get off the ship at ports with everyone else whether you have an excursion or not. No one should wait hours to get off the ship just becuz they do not have an excursion. I have NEVER encountered this on any of my 15 cruises I have been on.

The best thing was he Ultimate beverage package. It was nice going to dinner and getting a couple of glasses of wine and not worrying about how much it will cost.

The best time to visit the pool is early on the morning or after 5pm. Since there is only 1 pool and it’s small, don’t be discouraged. If you don’t mind crowds then it won’t matter. But maybe not the best cruise of you have kids.

This is an older ship, not with a lot of bells and whistles. If you don't enjoy sitting on a pool deck for long periods of time or read, you might find yourself bored quickly.

If you prefer not to have a lot of children on the ship, stay away from the month of August. So many families taking in last vacation before the kids head back to school. And there doesn't seem to be a curfew for them or it is not enforced. If you have children, they do seem to have many options for them

Bring your own straws. Norwegian stop providing them. Without straw, it was sometimes hard to drink from the glass of soda or cocktails.
