Transatlantic Cruises are not for everyone. They are cheaper in price relative to similar length cruises or other cruise that offer more ports of call and accordingly attract older. and on this cruise, many trashy people. Due to weather, our port of call in Barcelona was extended to almost three days and our port of call in Funchal was cancelled, which was a win-win. The ship was nice, staff was great, entertainment was recycled from other Norwegian Cruises, and activities (bingo, trivia pursuit, towel folding demonstrations) wete not to my taste, so being at sea for so many days got boring. I booked through . Customer service / follow-up by my representative was terrible.

More than one dinner in Aqua or Versille took more than 2-hrs for service. We timed it from placing order to arrival of entree at 50-minutes also took 2.5 hours of standing in line to disembark in Miami.

Food and service were great. The STAR is not a mega size (like the Breakaway class) such that getting on and off at the various ports is efficient.

Our shore experiences were great. Sorry we missed Kotor. NCL is ok but not my favorite. I feel they miss some of the small details that other cruise lines do better. Example - Pool towels are in your room but we had to take them off the cart since they were never left in our room. If you want room service it costs you money!

Great itinerary, the recently renovated Star in particualr, and NCL's facilities in general were somewhat disappointing

I enjoyed seeing the old world beauty of the cities visited, UNESCO sites and ease of the NCL experience. I loved unpacking once, having the freedom of dining and ability to see and appreciate so many exciting places.

We traveled with a group of 27 friends and family to celebrate my husband’s 30th birthday. We could not have asked for a better shop, room, food, drinks, and staff. We all had such a wonderful time and will be doing another cruise again soon!

Very enjoyable trip, the food was excellant, bar entertainment was lacking but the staff where great.

Ship was good ! Costumer service ? Extremely bad !!! !! Sorry but never again!! In that ship ! Still loving Norwegian !! And I’m looking 2019 one !!!!

I have been on probably 10 cruises and this cruise was expensive on drinks and food. We paid for 3 special meals at restaurants but they were so booked we could not get in until 9:30 pm.

They need more variety of entertainment. The main dining room-Versailles-wasn’t very good. Both times we ate there the food was cold.

This was my second cruise. I liked the idea of freestyle dining but I think it takes away from the experience. the dining staff in the main dining room were not attentive. We typically would run out of water and no one would come to refill our glasses. I feel that they did not go out of their way since you did not have an assigned waiter during the cruise and did not have to work as hard for tips. the tips are collected at end of the cruise and distrubuted by Norweigian to all the staff. The food was ok. For lunch in the main dining, the menu would be the same every other day. The food quality was not good as on my previous cruise. The pool staff was good. The drinks were much better at the pool. I did have the beverage package. I thought it included water but doesn't. The entertainment was ok but not spectacular. I did enjoy the acrobatic performance. Michelled(singer) was funny but typical cruise singer. The cabin was nice. There was a fridge in the room that was stocked but this is NOT included in the beverage package. The shower was spacious. The housekeeper was friendly and efficent. The tendering process needs to be better. I would get inline at 8am for 8:30 tender tickets. By the time, I got to the front of the line, I would be in group 11. People would get 10 tickets and just give them away or not use them. This would delay people from getting off the ship. We had to tender in 3 ports. If you purchase an excurision thru Norwegian you get priority tender.

Cruise exceeded our expectations. Ship and staff were wonderful. Overly accommodating. Ports of call were perfect places where we had never been.

Loved the suite and the itinerary but NCL needs to make improvements on their services otherwiase.

I have been on several cruises and this has to be one of the best fun filled cruises with exceptional ports of call. I would do this one again!

I am very satisfied of my first experience on a cruise. No complaint at all. I really like my experience.

Overall wonderful experience however, did not enjoy having to wait in line so much for almost everything, food, drinks, tender tickets, bathrooms, excursions. It's tough going to these small beautiful towns and have one or two other ships in port also. Made the area very crowded and more touristy rather than quaint and beautiful.

The vast majority of the staff were stellar, and the ports-of-call were well worth seeing. There were issues I wish I'd known about, and I'll outline them in the order in which they impacted our overall experience. First, the jogging track was located DIRECTLY over our room on Deck 12, and the closure of that track until 9:00a was not enforced so we were woken every morning between 6-7am by joggers pounding over our ceiling. d someone up from security to enforce the curfew. Enforcement of the curfew NEVER happened, and the inadequate signage was never amended. Second, shore excursions didn't include adequate free time (10-20 minutes on average) and involved a lot of waiting around and disorganization. Last, the band hired to entertain on the pool deck was below average. Pool and buffets were often over-crowded so we stuck with smaller venues and avoided the pool. Stage shows, specialty restaurants and most staff were excellent but we will book our own shore excursions next time and will choose a different deck for our room.

Ports were great! Need to work on onboard activities.

We booked an excursion at every port of call. We enjoyed the places we've visited. However, we wished that we were able to spend some minutes to go shopping for souvenirs in Dubrobnik, Croatia.
