Review summary

This is a great cruise and I recommend it to all. We were pleasantly surprised to have both bridge lesoons and sanctioned games offered on all sea days.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was good in the buffet, main dining rooms and Ginza. Cagneys and Le Bistro was very good. The food in La Cucina was excellent but the ambiance was lacking as we were seated outside the main restaurant that is adjacent to Gabsy.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Our favorite activity was taking the lessons and playing bridge on the sea days from Livingston and Howard. A dedicated room with square tables would have been helpful. The other activity was the knitting and stitching. Wanted more time and better lighting. Felecia was great to listen too in the evenings and we also enjoyed the Manila Trio.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the Magician and the Comedian Dan Bennett. Alvin Williams was okay.

Children's Programs

We did not have any children on board

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wilson was awesome as our room steward. We had great service in the lounges, bars, and most of the dining areas. Cagneys was the only restaurant where the service was subpar.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The staff was continually cleaning. The common areas were clean and mostly maintained. There was the occasional bathroom stall that was out of order.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was great. I would have preferred to not have a bath tub.

Ship tip

Look for the bridge options and the knitting options in the freestyle

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

We flew in to Miami the night before the cruise.

Cartagena, Colombia

The fortress was interesting. The guide had his favorite vendors that was a bit annoying.

Panama Canal Transit

This was the highlight of the trip. I found the best location for me was on deck 7. The area opened on deck 8 was very crowded.

Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Went zip lining in the rainforest. I can’t wait to go back and spend more time in this beautiful country.

Puerto Corinto, Nicaragua

We wanted to walk to the beach but the vendors were very persistent.

Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

Some wait but not too bad. We ended up off the ship 30 minutes before our designated time.
