Review summary

Everything and everyone of the crew was fine ,until the last day. Due to a mechanical problem with the ship, the return to CPH was delayed over 8 hours. The captain failed to make sufficient announcements to keep passengers up-dated and informed. This resulted in panic by some passengers trying to secure flight bookings for a later time than scheduled. A "rolling" delay ensued creating more of a hectic situation. As a result the disembarkation process was a disaster. Arguments ensued, passengers became belligerent and unruly, with no control by the crew. What most passengers will remember is the last day, which does not bode well for NCL. Shame on the Captain and the lack of procedures for a situation that should have been foreseen.

I totally agree with you Boeing767. I will not cruise with NCL at all.

@stayyoung  You clearly didn't have a flight to catch from Copenhagen upon return.  If you had experienced what the rest of us had, I think your opinion may have been a little less positive.  My opinion is that the captain and the crew handled the delay appallingly.  There was no communication from the bridge, and when we did have questions, the officers on board couldn't answer them.  The "home office" in Miami seemed to take their time in communicating any kind of resolution to back to the ship, which left many of us scratching our heads as to what to do.  I am a gold latitudes customer and will not sail with NCL any time in the near future.  This is not so much due to the mechanical issue, which one could argue went beyond the crew's control, but has everything to do with how the onboard staff treated those of us who would be stuck in Copenhagen.  The disembarkation process was poo-flavored icing on the cake.

We were on the cruise as well but felt that the captain and crew did a good job of keeping passengers informed and making provisions to help passengers make adjustments to their plans. The food and service was greatly improved from a cruise last year aboard the same ship. The trip was most enjoyable with the best stops at Tallinn, Estonia and Helsinki, Finland.

I agree, I was there, I even called the 0 number from a telephone at the deck 7 and tell the lady to tell the fuc#$$ captain or someone to tell us what was going on. We never heard from the captain at all, not even to announce that we docked at Copenhagen. Among other things I would not sail neither recommend NCL at all.
