Experience the formal restaurants (Windows and Gardens) for dinner but also for breakfast, both are great. If you like to drink, take the advantage of the beverage package is a plus. On the ocean days, if you want a chair next to the pool, wake up early.

Overall, we are not impressed with Norwegian and I probably will not sail with them or recommend them again. Not when you're planning the trip of a lifetime.

Warning: The NCL SPIRIT is moldy and dirty. If you have allergies and/or asthma, you will be ill the whole trip. The website pictures are highly misleading.

Go forward to the Galaxy room when sailing into or out of port, especially on rainy or stormy days. Snug, a great view, and usually quiet. Be sure to go down the spiral staircase into the bridge viewing room that contains interesting mementos from ports where the ship has called.

Be sure to have lots of cash if you wish to drink! They would charge you for toilet paper if they could get away with it:) Buy your own excursions when you get to the ports!

Windows restaurant gets very busy after the 7:30 show gets out so getting there before 8 is preferred. I found some of the best food at the Raffles buffet to be honest. The main dining was a little boring.

Window seats during the November - December can be cool. Be careful requesting one unless you are dressed well. In our case the Matre Di at the Windows restaurant had pretty poor customer rapport. We finally began avoiding that restauant after being given the cold shoulder at our requests.
