For destinations you could not beat this cruise!!!!!! But for accommodations it was bad. Also it felt like we were being "nickeled and dimed" to death. This ship is old and not clean and this made coming back on the ship discouraging. The best place was the "Raffles Terrace". It was clean, beautiful views and the crew was awesome.

Service was good and the staff pleasant. The complaint I have is the bartenders in the Champagne lounge. As a women I was always served last or not at all. The other bartenders were first come first served and that is the correct way to do it. It was very annoying.

The layout is fine but the common areas needed that extra touch. It is an old ship and it looks it. Anything glass needed cleaning. It was dirty. The windows and glass had streaks and other things on it and it was never cleaned during the entire cruise. The carpets were old and dirty. This ship needs a lot of elbow grease to bring it up to speed. Just because it is old does not mean it can't be clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

I almost cried when I first walked into our room!!!! The carpets are old and dirty, the curtains were torn, the bathroom smelled, (the toilet brush is in there in a containers that has "water" at the bottom of it and it smelled!!!! The room is very small for a balcony room and you had to walk sideways every where, and no way could 2 people pass at the same time. I travel all the time and stay in hotel rooms so this was so discouraging. Not a good experience.

The destinations made the trip but if you like to "cruise" this ship is not for you.
We did the excursion, "Nora- A walk through ancient times". It was a great site and the view was just beautiful. Lots of history, the guide was young but very clear, great knowledge and clear when speaking.
We did the excursion, "Knossos & the Minotaur". This was awesome!!!!! The guide we had was great and full of information, great personality, very knowledgeable. The only thing I would say to this tour company was to give us the head sets so that we could all hear our guide.
We did the excursion, "The Acropolis & Leisure". Well what more can I say about the destination!!! It was beautiful. Now our guide was very nice, personable and patient. And I don't mind the upsell that all the guides do to their "favorite" store or restaurant. But this guide used up almost 45 minutes in all of our leisure time to upsell the jewelry store and restaurant and I was getting extremely upset. If you have done excursions you know that you hardly have time anyways and when the guide uses it up to sell you stuff. That is not great.
We did the excursion, "Charming Oia Village". The guide and destination was fantastic. The drive up a little crazy but the bus driver was awesome!!!! Loved it.
We did the excursion, "Olympia & Greek Flavors". I was in awe at the site where the Olympics began. But the restaurant we went to afterwards with the Greek food and dancing made this trip. The food was great and plentiful. But the dancers made the day!!!! They got everyone involved, cheering "Opa!!!", got up and danced, women and men... together with them and one on one. The "joie de vivre" in one of the dancers was contagious!!!!! Can't say enough good things about this venue!!!!!
We did an excursion, "City of Knights & Mdina". Malta is beautiful, the church, St John's co-cathedral, the conventual Church of the Knights of Malta was absolutely stunning, And Mdina, "The Silent City" was just beautiful!!! A must see. We started off rough with our guide, (we lost him!!!!) but the destination made up for that rough start.
We did the excursion, "Capri on Your Own". Our guide was just suppose to bring us there and bring us back, but because we were such a small group she stayed with us and navigated us through all the transportation, restaurant, shopping areas, picked the best sites to see and told us when to go in what lines so we would get the best for our time. She was amazing!!!!
