Review summary
The Spirit is a large, relatively clean, ship. There were several specialty restaurants, but the cover charge was a bit steep for many of them. Reservations were difficult to secure unless you got in line an hour before the reservation desk opened. Even when you had a 5:30 reservation in one of the two main dining rooms, you were not taken right in. The portions of food were a bit skimpy this time around, although presentation and flavor were excellent. The pool deck was too small to accomodate all 2,000+ guests. There were never enough chairs to go around while we were at sea. The itinerary was changed with only two months to go, and we were disappointed in the substitute port (San Juan, Puerto Rico.)Ship experiences

Pros: The beach shore excursions in Tortola and the Dominican Republic were great!
Cons: The hassle of securing a reservation to eat essentially ruined our appetites!
