This cruise on Norwiegen Sky was the nicest cruise I have been on so far. I have previously cruised with Royal Caribbean and Princess. This was not a huge ship and had great amenities. Our balcony room was roomy and the stewards were great and very attentive.

If you've cruised before, this ship may be too small. But I think it's perfect for a first time cruiser. It allows you to get the feel of a cruise atmosphere, and the ship is not so big that it's confusing. It was easy to navigate. We had a balcony room which was nice. But it could have been improved ten fold if they had put a real table on the balcony instead of the little, mini table. It couldn't hold more than a few glasses or plates, which made it nearly impossible to comfortably eat meals out there.

Overall, we enjoyed our cruise very much. There were a few areas that were lacking, particularly compared to other cruises I've been on. The ship did a great job of avoiding bad weather caused by Hurricane Irene. We had warm sunny days every day. They did have to cancel one port of call and do a day at sea instead. In my past experience, when a port of call was cancelled the cruise line would offer a shipboard credit as a form of apology. No credits were given on this trip. Another port was also cancelled, but we were pleased when the port was changed to Key West, allowing us to get off the ship for a while. The biggest negative experience for our cruise was the dining room staff. The service was below what I would expect at a normal restaurant, let alone on a cruise ship. One thing about the dining that we did enjoy was that we did not have to share tables with other passengers. We had our own dining table for each meal.

Food was pretty good. Only free drinks is water and iced tea.

We recently sailed the Norwegian Sky from Miami to Bahamas on a 5 days cruise. This is Norwegian oldest and smallest ship but for the most part its renovated and upgraded to today standards. Norwegian Sky were excellent in customer service right from the beginning at checkin. The only disappointment we experienced were the choice and the quality of food on board. They have little to no seafood during the 5 days except 1 night they served lobster tails. The lobster was overcooked and dry to say the least. We were served BBQ chicken, burgers, hotdogs for the most part of the trip so unless you are meat lover then you will not enjoy their food.

My review deals with 's poor customer service. We will definitely not book with again. Beware of both their "free" offers and the accuracy of their website and information from their partner company, Shore Excursions Group. Although advertised that they were offering a free excursion with a cruise booking, they did not provide the necessary coupon code to us until we had to call and ask for it 3 days prior to our cruise departure-barely enough time to fulfill the coupon. On their website, also listed the wrong departure time from the Nassau port (http://cruises./sc.do?c=34&tab=itin&v=690&i=763589&d=02/02/2009&d2=08/01/2010&dsc=), and because of that, the excursion we booked in Nassau got back after the ship's departure time. Luckily we discovered the scheduling problem before the excursion, and didn't take it, but when I called to inform them of the problem, said I should have seen the correct time listed on my invoice. I don't know about you, but I would think that would have had the correct times listed on their website, would not have expected me to weed through fine print to discover their mistakes, and would not have even offered an excursion that was impossible to make work. I only booked with because of the free excursion - their price was the same as booking directly with the cruise line. Then to have them not make good on their offer either before or after the cruise was certainly not what I would consider adequate customer service. So poor job ! We'll look elsewhere in the future for our travel needs.

the ship was good, we were on the 9th deck and had easy access to and from all areas of the ship. the elevators are slow so we took the stairs (but it was a good way to burn off all the calories from the buffet!) the drinks were expensive $7-10 a drink. exercise classes were extra. some restaurants extra. bingo extra. internet extra-make sure that you log out after you are finished or you will keep being charged. coffee bar extra. WARNING! make sure that you turn off the data on your cell phone. racked up $75 in charges just from background data in a matter of an hour.

Good layout but not a well kept ship. The staff was very helpful and energetic.

Great cruise to have a great vacation

Not what we wanted in a cruise, not what we thought we would get with a Norweiqn cruise. We would not recommend a Norweign cruise to anyone!

Great staff, always around to help. Entertainment is +++, there's always something going on... Food is amazing, a lot of options, freestyle dinning works perfectly and we really loved that we have no time limitation for dinner etc. Room service excellent, and everything is very clean!!!

The ship was just average, I have seem better.

Good cruise, food and excellent cabin. Games and trivias were very american based. Most of the activities had a cost. Great staff in restaurants and cabin.

We booked a room with balcony thinking the room would have more room or space for us to put away clothes and move around, not. Events where scheduled together with raffles...can't be two places at once :(. The Island was fun, however the snorkle gear was poor and un kept condition. The fish (snorkeling) was a excellent experience for our daughter. Don't forget to keep all receipts of anything bought.!
