Review summary

the ship was good, we were on the 9th deck and had easy access to and from all areas of the ship. the elevators are slow so we took the stairs (but it was a good way to burn off all the calories from the buffet!) the drinks were expensive $7-10 a drink. exercise classes were extra. some restaurants extra. bingo extra. internet extra-make sure that you log out after you are finished or you will keep being charged. coffee bar extra. WARNING! make sure that you turn off the data on your cell phone. racked up $75 in charges just from background data in a matter of an hour.

food was just ok. only had one meal that was great. 3 restaurants charge an extra fee, so if you don't want to pay that options are limited.

We went shopping near the port which was great. Lots of neat shops (del sol and cariloha, jewelry shops and souvenir shops) and a straw market(at the straw market the people were a little pushy and a lot of the vendors sold the same items). It rained pretty hard after we finished shopping and our stingray tour had to be cancelled...can't really give a review on the excursion or the rest of the island since we didn't see it!

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Pretty beach, great for a day of just lounging around on the beach or going for a dip in the water. There are not many excursions on the island though. I would get there early so you can snag a chair close to the water, it gets pretty crowded.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

we went on the kayak tour of lucayan park. the kayaking was great. It went thru a mangrove. Beware that some of the spaces in the mangrove are tight and you will have to lean backwards in the kayak (can't sit up straight the whole time)...so if you have any physical limitations this may be difficult. If you don't, this is great adventure. After kayaking we had a light lunch and then got to hang out at Gold Rock Beach which was beautiful. Very clear water. It is supposed to be even better at low tide but the tour ended before that.
