overall the cruise was fine, however the food was somewhat less then we expected, because the menu for breakfast and lunch never changed, and the dinner menu only varied by one or two items. also the staterooms were so small we could hardly get into bed on one side of the bed and no place to sit but the bed

I have never been treated so well in my life. The whole crew treats u like a king and everyone is nice and helpful. The food is from heaven and the ship is super clean and classy. Can't say enough and can't wait till the next one!

We went to the 4 night bahamas cruise on Norwegian Sky in early Feb. The ship is in good condition. The staff was always friendly. Some of the carpets near the elevators are showing wear n tear / stains. The food was great..although I wish they did have more vegetarian options. I loved the fact that they had indian dishes as well..they were delicious. We were traveling with our 2 year old and took him to the kids room for activities there. I wish they had more activities for kids under 3. Our 2 yr old didn't seem to be bored everything was new.

Thankfully the weather was great during those days. The only exception was at the Grand Stirrup Cay - Norwegian's Island, was that it started to rain around 1 pm so everyone on the beach had to cut the day short. It is a beautiful island and the staff/service/food there was just as great. 

The staff on the Sky was excellent.  There was plenty to do, if you wanted, or just relax and enjoy.  The meals were good and we did the extra dinning package.  It was well worth it..  The rooms noise wasn't bad and the ports were fun.  

Overall experience was good. Most of the staff friendly, clean, entertainment was good, excursions good, but food was not good. For our first cruise, this was not a good experience. Everyone always talks about how great the food is on a cruise, not the case here. Buffets had the same boring food every day, no variety, nothing really good. Tough getting a hot cup of coffee in the morning. Anything half way decent like omelettes and waffles in morning, there was a long wait. Wok station was pretty good. After disappointment with the buffets, we tried Crossings restaurant, not much better. Food was "ok", not bad, but not good either - wouldn't go back. Only good thing about it was I didn't gain any weight! Poor planning for superbowl sunday also - one area with big screen of course filled up, so no seats available, then one outside deck had a larger tv on one side of deck, nothing on the other, so we went to another deck area with about a 40" tv, sitting from 30 feet away - it was tough to see and couldn't hear the game, so we wound up going to our room to watch the game, which was less than ideal. After this experience for our first cruise, definitely would not cruise Norwegian again.

Overall, the cruise was good. Our room was nice, cabin steward was excellent . The food was just OK. Same stuff every day. No variety . The service in the main dining room was poor. Very poor. It seemed like they didn't care. Also very slow. 

Doubt seriously I would sail Norwegian again, unless the price was right, like this cruise.

This was the strangest cruise I've ever been on.  The majority of people on this cruise were from Europe, Brazil or were over 65.  The crew was fantastic.  Very friendly and accommodating.  The spa was wonderful.  The food was just okay but I expect a lot in that department. This ship is small and old.  Some areas smelled horrible, like sewage.  I spent an entire afternoon on the deck and only 1 person came 1 time for my drink order.  Our room was dirty.  Hair in the linens, hair on the vanity, dust everywhere, remote didn't work, face prints in the window, broken down nightstand, greasy marks all over the closet mirror, floor was dirty and (worst of all) the duvet, under the cover was bloody.  Not just a drop or two.  It probably had been washed but I was stained and so gross.  It took the cleaning crew 2 more tries to get the room cleaner, not perfect but cleaner.  We had to leave our room for hours while they cleaned.  All we received for the trouble was a plate of chocolate covered strawberries.  I noticed a lot of those plates of strawberries in the hallway that day.  I have been on 10 cruises with 4 different companies.  I've had great trips and so-so trips. This one was not good.  If it wasn't for Joe, Chris, Sin, Josh, Alex and Raphael, it would have been terrible.

No notepad and pen, wall mounted liquid soap dispensers and only 2 electrical outlets in the cabin why this cruise is being sold at a rate far less than the $999 brochure price.  But for a quick getaway to relax for a few days that doesn't blow the budget, it was decent.  The food and service in the main dining room was surprisingly good.  The buffet was hit or miss and did not have too many healthy options other than lettuce salad and fruit (no mango, papaya or other tropical fruit that might be expected on a tropical island cruise).  Entertainment was also hit or miss--acoustic guitar player was good, but the ship's house band was not (singer needs vocal lessons).  The comedian talked about his kids doing funny things, which was not all that funny.  The spa treatments cost almost as much as the cruise (!) but were relaxing and comparable to other cruise line spa (prices, quality).  The "Freestyle" disembarkation was easy and overall, it was an enjoyable experience. 

Norwegian Sky offers no value for your money. Service staff from steward to guest servces is horrible. I highly recommend customers choose a different cruise line when considering a vacation.

I was in Miami ready to get on the ship, got a call from my mom, my daughter was very sick, I had to leave a drive back home, I called to see if I could get a credit, managment was very rude said no I had to pay an extra $100. For what I don,t know, Ashley the agent, quited me 3 different prices and Aldo SSID I would get an $50 on board credit, which was not true, lie's all way, I travel about 4/5 times a yr. And I am extremely disappointed with your company. , any questions you could pull the cll and see what I am talking about.  Very bad service.  I also called Ashley back she was going to

Wonderful way to spend 3 days and 4 nights while in Florida for 2 months.  Even thinking of taking a second cruise while here.  Great staff, wonderful food and incredible entertainment.

My husband and I had a balcony room and were disappointed with the size of the room.  Also, we felt that the room was outdated - including the bathroom.  We will explore other cruise ships that are newer with Norwegian and also other cruise lines.

We enjoyed everything on the ship, but the food was a good experience. We will repeat some more cruises with Norwegian. We had fun with the activities and entertainment. The Las Vegas Cabaret show was excellent.

My daughter and I took a cruise to the Bahamas 1/9/15-1/12/15 and we shared a cabin. I purchased the soft drink package on the 1st day because I do not drink alcohol for medical reasons. My daughter then wanted to purchased the alcohol package which seemed like a better deal than purchasing high dollar drinks. When she tried to purchase the alcohol package we were told both people in the cabin had to purchase it. I informed them I do not drink alcohol and have not for over 6.5 years. I cannot mix alcohol with some of the medications I am on. The server then told me to obtain a medical statement from my provider with proof of this, so I did. I then took the emailed letter to the man in charge: James Valmore. He then stated this letter needed to be stamped and faxed to the front office. This was Friday afternoon after 4pm and the office was closed by now. Seriously, they just want to make more money and make it difficult. And to top it off once I asked for diet pepsi while relaxing by the pool it took a very forever to be served a non alcoholic drink. It was not relaxing to me at all. This was my 3rd Norwegian cruise and will be my last. We were very disappointed in the customer service.

I will never cruise with Norwegian again! Rude staff in restaurants and casino, cold food at all times. Was supposed to get up to $1000 in on board credit and I received $25. Just an overall bad experience. I'll sick stick Carnival Cruise line from now on

I've been on 20 plus cruises and this was a nice, short cruise.  Everyone was very friendly but this was my 3rd NCL cruise and I was suppose to receive a "Welcome Back"  letter with discounts.  I requested it twice and never received it.  The last night, I was told by someone in the gift shop that I was suppose to be getting discounts and should have demanded the letter that shows it.  Also, I love the evening entertainment but it lacked.  Two nights they did comedy.  My 8-yr-old grandson doesn't understand comedy and I'm so sick of it, I stopped going to them on any cruise line.  They seem to pass the same jokes around to each cruise line.  The last night, they had one variety show.  It was good, but there were people standing in the aisles and in the back of the theater because there wasn't enough room for everyone to sit.  We got there 30 mins. before it was suppose to start and had to sit in the back row because it was already packed.  It was not enjoyable, there were just too many distractions from people walking up the aisle looking for seats, people talking, and heads bopping all over the place trying to see the stage during the entire show. 

We had reservations for an excursion and thank goodness we checked them the night before because they had totally different times and reviews than what the website said.  They did give us a refund but it still hasn't shown up on my credit card.

Good experience checking in and leaving the ship.  We carried off our luggage so were able to stay on until the last minute.

Not much going on after the show in the evenings.  My grandson did have fun in the children's program.  They were awesome.

First,some of the staff weren't professional especially the filipino staff in the buffet and the reception they were rude they are treating people as young in the school.

Second, no available care centers for children below 1 year (from 6 month to 12 month )   

We really enjoyed the service and the food on board, both in the formal restaurants and at the Great Outdoors. The New Years party was a ball with party by the pool til dawn. The Swedish Captain was so friendly and mingled

I have been on other cruises before and have to say that this cruise was an overall good experience as opposed to an excellent experience. 

Pros:

-freestyle dining--I love that we could choose whenever to go to dinner and we don't have to feel awkward sitting with other people

-easy disembark--no hassle, easy to walk off, no long lines to get off ship

-service--stateroom, dining, guest services..all were friendly and attentive!

-lots of different bands to entertain us

-lots of different bars to go to

-I liked the new year's eve party, but there's no party like a party boat sailing in the caribbean sea! Party earlier like 10 pm and go til 2! The one i went to started at 11 and ended at 12:30. C'mon now, let's PARTY like it's 2015!

Cons:

-picture gallery was not as wide. places to take pictures were weirdly spaced out and photographer did not really know how to position us.

-library was hidden

-spa was not as grand (and there were no spa tours!) and was ridiculously expensive. Even if the prices were cut in half, I would still have to consider splurging the money...NCL please review and change this. I was looking forward to getting a massage on the cruise, but for almost $200...no thanks!

-food was not what i was expecting. was not as good as other cruises. Did not have large variety in buffet. The grill food was not fresh, there was no special omelette creations in the morning and there were no midnight buffets. What's up with that? Cruises are all about midnight chocolate buffets!! 

-I thought the two dining restaurants would have different menus so there would be more options, but both had the same menu. 

-Did not have large jewelry options in the shops

-NCL is known for their white hot parties, but if you're expecting it to rain out on the pool deck, then you need to make sure when it's moved inside, it will be twice as grand and crazy. However, i attended the inside white hot party due to the rain, and they did not even move the chairs in the inside lounge. picture this: there was only the crew dancing on the dance floor, and EVERYONE else was just sitting and watching them dance. It was like a lame junior high party.

Check-in was a breeze!  We boarded with no issue.  Enjoyed the shows in Stardust Theater! Bingo was $49 for two cards and only played 3 games.  The last game was a blackout game where they only called 47 numbers for the $5000 grand prize, but no one was very close.  Art auction was a unique surprise.  Guests had a chance to bid on some really special pieces by some of the world's best known artists.  The Max originals were truly inspiring but we don't make snap purchases - had we been able to consider this BEFORE the trip, we could have positioned ourselves to walk away with some very nice pieces.  We were at the Norwegian private island and we got back in time for the NFL game of the week on Fox.  I called the guys who control the channels and they changed from CBS to Fox so that I could watch my Packers!  Thanks so much for making this a truly special honeymoon for us!
