FOOD WAS NOT THAT GREAT AT ALL HAD TO GO TO THE SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS TO GET A GOOD MEAL EVERY OTHER CRUISE I BEEN ON THE FOOD WAS ALWAYS SUPERIOR .

THE ACTIVITIES AND MUSIC WERE ALSO GEARED TOWARDS AN OLDER CROWD.

I had a nice and relaxing time on board this ship.  The staff is very friendly and professional.  The cruise director Tyler was wonderful.  Cagney's Restaurant (steakhouse) is a must! The food is delicious.  Also, there is a 24 hour restaurant on board.  I had a  nice and relaxing trip.

Where do I begin. We checked in at the VIP lounge in Miami and the representatives were very informative. Once our check in process was complete, our butler Rizaldy walked us through security and to Cagneys for lunch. We had a wonderful meal and then we went to our room. The suite was lovely. I loved the special touches. There was fresh fruits, champange, and chocolate covered strawberries everyday. The kids enjoyed the fruits. The VIP invitations from Captain Pelle Fredrikksson was very nice. We were a bit disappointed when we were unable to dock at the Great Stir up Cay because of strong winds but the crew and Tyler the cruise director made our day at sea amazing. Mario, our stateroom housekeeper decorated our room for my husbands and daughters birthday. What a special treat. If you are traveling with small children, we recommend the suites. Very roomy for a party of five age 13,7,8 mom and dad. The food was great. There was a varity of foods to eat. The bands were great and the all white party........SUPER FUN!!!!!!!! LOL I danced like I was a teenager and so did all the other passengers on the ship that attended. I saw all ages and races dancing to the Colombians DJ's music. He was great. ALways had the dance floor dancing. Thank you Captain Pelle for making our first NCL cruise a wonderful experience. We have cruised many times before but as the saying goes....... WE ARE NORWEGIANS NOW!!!!!!!!!

Before boarding, I was told I shouldn't have filled out the baggage tag completely due to security reasons. Took forever to get our bags. We were separated from 2 family members during the emergency evacuation drill. Excursions filled up. I spent as much money on the excursions as the cruise itself. Excursions were too expensive. They cancelled the jet ski excursion due to water conditions with NO notice. There were several other jet skis on the water all afternoon. Bartenders were good. Cabin steward gave us fresh towels as much as 2 times per day. He made up my daughter's sleeper couch every night. Had to wait for transportation to leave for the excursions when there wasn't enough time in port to begin with.

The cruise started off disappointing. The check-in process took nearly two hours. Once I arrived on the ship there was no wow factor at all. You could tell the ship is old. Deck railing was loose and stairs leading to the Oslo deck made a popping sound when stepped on. Beautiful dining rooms, but the food was not good at all. The buffet was pretty much the same every day (I can eat hot dogs and hamburgers at home any time). They did not have a midnight buffet with the beautiful food carvings which is something I was looking forward to. They offer the other restaurants for a fee, but I don't think I should have to pay an additional fee to get decent appetizing.  It's sad to say, but the ice cream bar was the best part of the food selection. 

I have cruised on Carnival and my sister on Royal Caribbean and we both agreed those cruise ships were much better and offered excellent food which was 100% better than the food served on the Norwegian Sky. The entertainment on the Sky also could have been much better. The shows were more on the scale of a high school talent show. Once again....no wow factor.  The concept of free style dining has it pros and cons. I like the idea of being able to have dinner when I liked, but I missed the interaction and getting to know the wait staff. With free style dining you have a different server each time you dine?

The Norwegian Sky is an old ship and it's showing it's age. I think the ship needs to be completely refurbished  or better yet....discontinued. I will never cruise with Norwegian again nor will I recommend to anyone else. I loved that they stopped in three ports in four days and all the ports were very nice, but the ship itself was a huge disappointment. The next time I cruise will be on Carnival, Royal Caribbean or Disney. On a scale of 1-10 and 10 being the highest score...I give the Sky a 4.

Thought there would be more options available for kids due to affiliation with Nickelodeon but was under whelmed with this portion.Vibe was very "Spring Breaky".  Some of the recreational amenities available on pool deck were broken. Service was not consistent. It was either exceptional or poor.

We had an awesome time.  Freestyle is the way to go, you can eat when you want to.  Good selection of food.  This was an excellent 3 day vacation, would highly recommend

I had up until now only sailed on the KISS KRUISE so I didn't really know what to expect on a "regular" cruise. To my complete surprise it was the best. most relaxing 3 days I've spent in a long, long time. The ship is spotless. There was nothing that was out of place or needing repair! The NCL staff were always helpful and never did I ask a question that they didn't have the answer to. None of this "let me ask" BS. We went to Nassau first which was ok but there must be better places to go. The next day we were at the Great Styrup Cay and it was the best part of the cruise (except for the dinning onboard) by far! The island has really been cleaned up and expanded quite nicely. There are new Cabana's (small) that are the best kept secret on the island. You have a covered location to relax in and get out of the sun, and the sun does get hot fast, but the ceiling fan makes it all melt away. Add the wait service and it really doesn't get any better. The onboard dinning was 5 star in the main dinning rooms and the ship also had a buffet that was outstanding as well. The menu changes daily with expert prepared meals that do not disappoint. Pop for the balcony cabins. At the end of the day when you want a few moments away from all that is going on, sitting on your private balcony just watching the sea, or stars can't be beat! Norwegian is the best cruise line to sail in my opinion and the Sky is a fine ship!

This was my first cruise experience and it was a girlfriends' getaway. I was never sold on cruising but decided to give it a try. From the moment we stepped on board, we were treated with extreme courtesy and the attitude of making our cruise as pleasurable as it could be.

The ports were set up in such a way as to make our trip as enjoyable as could be. While Freeport was a disappointment the other ports increasingly thrilled us. In Nassau we met Marco of Marco Polo Tours who for a nominal fee gave us a phenomenal tour of the island. Highly recommend him to anyone. But Great Stirrup Cay was the highlight of the trip. We were only there with our own shipmates. While the main beach was fun we wouldn't have had a complete day without making the tram ride out to the lagoon. What a peaceful, serene setting in which few took advantage.

I have read complaints about the staff but we didn't find one single person to have objection to. As can be seen in other reviews, there are LOTS of language barriers but nevertheless, it was easy to see they wanted to please you even if they failed to understand. Everyone was attentive and made it seem like you were their primary concern.

The comedy act, Andrew Kennedy, was a great asset but I must admit, the Vegas Show made the trip. The singers and dancers are bar none the best of the best.

Yes the ship is showing a little age but unless you're a complete snob who belongs on some luxury cruise rather than this one, there wasn't anything outstandingly complaint-worthy.

The only downsides I could see was my friend and I are settled and in middle age. Lots of the activities were geared towards the party crowd who were in abundance but we enjoyed sitting back and watching them, reminiscing about our days at their ages. The other is the food was mediocre but never bad.

I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone unless you're expecting to be pampered and have a Kardashian attitude. Norwegian really has this cruise thing down!

La atencion en uno de los comedores muy demorada,cuando reserve la cabina interior pense que era igual que la de todos los otros matrimonios que fuimos que tenian espacio para un pequeño sofa yo padezco de mucho desvelo y aquella cabina era mas peueña al extremo que no tenia sofa era en el 9 piso interior #9337 y pagamos lo mismo que los otros acompañantes a pesar de gustarme tanto esa linea de crucero no tenemos suerte mi esposo y yo siempre viajamos con otros matrimonios y nos toca la peor cabina creo que Deben poner camas queen y no king porque mi esposo y yo no podiamos movernos a la vez por lo incomoda que era por tan poco espacio espero que tengamos mas suerte la proxima vez igual que habia un grupo grande de juventud borrachos todo el tiempo que una noche nos trasladaron a otro comedor por el gran escandalo que tenian creo que es un gran negocio la venta de bebidas pero deberian tener un poco mas de control con respecto a esa situacion estas observaciones las hago a modo en beneficio de la compañia ya que es agradable y sentimos en el piso 11 que tanto disfrutamos en Agosto pasado de la musica latina ya alli no hay nada estamos en el Caribe y viajamos Latinos no solo Americanos yo siento no poder escribir es ingles pero creo tengan personal que pueda traducir mis comentarios y espero tener mas suerte la proxima vez

Well, I enjoyed the cruise in general but the food was sub-par & the desserts were beautiful but pretty much tasteless. Our steward was extremely attentive & there was a nice variety as far as shows & entertainment.

I have been on this cruise twice before. Norwegian never ceases to please me. From the food to the entertainment. There is always something to do if you want to. On this vacation I didn't want to do anything but it's hard to ignore all the fun so I didn't relax as much as I had planned to. My only complaint is I had too much fun, if that's possible.  And don't forget the people behind the scenes. My room was kept clean and inviting. The ship is also kept clean.  All the people I came into contact with were very nice. If you had any questions at all they are eager to help. I can't say enough good things about Norwegian Sky. I am not good at expressing myself to get my point across but if you don't have fun it's not their fault.    Want a fun filled 3 day vacation? Take this cruise!

This cruise exceeded expectations, with all personnel courteous and helpful. Our only suggestion is to include soft drinks (soda) with the beverage package considering the high cost. It doesn't make sense to purchase a liquor package only to pay extra for a bottle of water. Daily poolside barbecues would also be a hit. We cruised during Cinco De Mayo, but the only recognition was a few Mexican dishes on the menus.

TheNorwegian Sky , despite it's age is still a well maintained, clean and very comfortable ship. What's even better than the ship was the crew; friendly, engaging, and always with a smile on their faces.  The speciality restaurants were well worth the extra money. The food is a cut above what's served in the main dining rooms and you can enjoy it while having a conversation; something that can't be done in the large dining rooms. The one downside to the cruise, which is the reason I only give it 3 stars, is the number of people they try to cram onto to the ship. Given that the average age of the guest was around 28, they were all crowded around the pool areas. 

it was bad weather at time when i went was not able to go to one island was windy and cold. First time i ever went on a cruise before guess was not expecting that and was not much to do on the ship.

We have been on several with other cruise lines, but this was by far the worse. It was dirty, with vomit on the in our stateroom hallway, which was there most of the day. The service was very very slow with little to choose from. It was like spring break with many drunk boys and girls diving in the pools and trying to hook up. Our itinerary was changed from first day Bahamas and second day their private island, to the reverse. We had a mandatory day at sea because we were told that it was unsafe to go to the island but there were no activities planned for that day There were so many people that you could not get to the pool or hot tubs or hardly find a place to sit. Fights almost broke out at the buffet because there was no seating. It was a dirty bad experience and we would like our money back. Do not take Norwegian

My main complaint is the cruise is too short.  Even though it rained every day of the cruise, we had a really fun time.  Our room was great (picture window cabin).  The entertainment was pretty good.  Not crazy about Luke the piano player.  His playing is much better than his vocals.  The best dance floor (in the Outboard) is covered in a varnish that is so sticky, you can't move on it.  What a shame because it would be a fantastic dance floor.  The two shows in the Stardust were very good.  Seating in that room is really tight but doesn't take anything away from the experience.  The entire crew was super friendly!!!!

My husband and I took this cruise with our three children ages 3, 7, and 9. I have to say this cruise was just plain boring. There just wasn't much for us to do. My kids spent the majority of their time at the kids club while my husband and I roamed aimlessly around the ship. I will never book a cruise with Norwegian again. 

room service is excellent. Formal dinning hall menu items are not the same as listed on menu cards.Breads (NAN) need electric chain saw to break it. Very bed experience in main dinning hall about Breads  & menu items they served. MENU items are not as listed in Menu card.

I was surprised at how small the cabin was but it was nevertheless functional.   A guy at a piano bar could not carry a tune with a bucket and the "Vegas" stage show was a mixed bag.   Rehearsed dancing but the vocalists were terrible.   Our biggest enjoyment was the Latino music each night; wonderful Salsa dancing and music.   The food was sort of a disappointment but still adequate.   The "bar" package option was the best deal.   overall, I would recommend this cruise ... I think.
