A friend and I booked a month or so from the departure date. Original itenirary was to stop at 3 different Bahama Islands. Due to the hurricane we only stopped in Nassau and Key West. With one complete day at sea (was a little bummed with the full day at sea).  I'm giving the cruise a 3.5 overall. 

Pros: The unlimited alcohol!!!! The drinks were a 5/5! Strong with a wide variety and the bartenders were fantastic and would make custom drinks. I also throughly enjoyed the karaoke/ dancing entertainment on the outside deck by the pool which they had every day. Also the entire vessel staff!!!! I would say 99% of the staff I talked to or came in contact with were nothing other than fantastic.  So very nice!

Cons : it's an older boat. Definitely could use some updates as far as appearance and some mechanical issues. Our mini fridge in our room didn't work, we let our assigned wait staff know and he said he would let someone know. Our bathroom light didn't work but did get fixed within 30 minutes of calling which I found to be very fast. The other big con for me was the food. I wasn't impressed with the overall options. Breakfast was the best out of the 3. We ate only the food that was included but they do have 3 or 4 other restaurants you have to pay extra for. 

The food was awful. Food was served cold and chewy. Service was terrible. Was lucky to see servers come around once to the table. You had to order everything at once, even refills for your drinks or you would never get them. Buffet food never changed. The was no variety or taste. Never even saw the stateroom steward. They did not make themselves known or accessible. Shops were small and had very limited selections. Casino staff was rude. Muster drill was very unorganized and poorly executed. Could not hear anything that was said during the drill. 

Wonderful cruise.  Very friendly and efficient staff, especially in the dining rooms.  We liked the concept of free style dining.  Ship was very very clean.  No complaints at all regarding the ship, except that we should have been informed in advance about the iterary change.  We were scheduled to visit three ports but only went to one of them.  We stopped at Key West in place of one stop and had a day at sea.  

This was me and my husband's honeymoon AND our 1st cruise and it was absolutely lovely! However, we were disappointed to learn that the Norwegian had changed itineraries for our cruise at the last minute. We were suppose to go to the Great Stir Cay Island and the Grand Bahamas Island but it was under construction for damages due to Hurricane Matthew.

The Cruise Coordinator should compensate us and others on the ship because of the itinerary change especially since it was such a special occasion for me and my husband.

Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and from now on we will "goeth by sea" and "not by land" anymore. We will be cruisin' on for our annual vacations from now on.

The Norwegian Sky was the BEST! ALL-INCLUSIVE! You can't beat that! The food was great and plentiful and although I'm not a "drinker" of alcohol much at all, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his beer and occasional mixed drink; while I thoroughly enjoyed my "virgin" Pina Coladas! Oh yessss! They were sooooo good, like a dessert! YUMMMMMYY!

We will do this cruise again and other cruises. We just had a Ball! The entertainment was good too!

Loved it!!! I highly recommend this ship and this cruise line.

This was a great cruise with courteous staff, clean staterooms (though rather tight) and lots of activities for adults. The food preparation and choices were superb! Our only complaint was that we were not aware of the itinerary change (though understandable) which was available in late August! We aren't "fans" of Key West and may have opted to change our plans if notified. All of that being said, we still had a good time on the Norwegian Sky!

The food, drinks, and room service was GREAT! There wasn't much entertainment on the ship and the one's that were scheduled for poolside were cancelled due to the weather which is understandable but it would've been nice it they had a plan b for something inside as well. Also we didn't get to go to the private island due to it still being closed because of Hurricane Matthew which again is understandable but we were at sea all day on Sunday and they didn't give us an onboard credit or anything.

The overall cruise was nice. Good food, excellent entertainment,very clean.  However we were disappointed to learn there was a change to the itinerary due to Hurricane Mathew.  Instead of the two ports in the Bahamas and the private island, we went to only Nassau and Key West with a day at sea.  The day at sea was a little lame as I don't think it took over 24 hours to sail from Key West to Nassau .

I really liked the cruise and so did my husband. The entertainment on thebcruise was pretty good and the all inclusive drinks was the best part. You dont have to worry about paying for any drinks. The food was not amazing but was good enough. Everyone was very nice on the ship except for the bar services. I found them all to be very rude. I was also very upset to find out that a couple I spoke to got the cruise price for the price I had paid per person which sucked knowing I could have saved some money. Other than that, all is great.

This was a great cruise! The staff was very helpful and eager to help you plan activities. We really enjoyed the balcony room; for first timers, we really wanted to get the full experience and Norwegian really was the best choice. The only issue I had, and its the reason this cruise lost a star was that we DID NOT go to all the ports we were supposed to and WERE NOT notified until we got on the ship. This was really disappointing being that we ended up spending a day on board with no extra amenities. We were supposed to go to 3 ports in the bahamas and only went to 1. With that being said, we are looking forward to going on another one. Hopefully, we will get the ports we signed up for. 

This was my first cruise and first time in "the Bahamas"... Upon arriving at the terminal we were informed(for the first time) that our itinerary had changed. 2 of our 3 stops had been removed and substituted with 1 day in Key West and 1 day at sea. Hardly what I paid for(a Bahaman cruise).. Once we got on the boat, we immediately went to book a shore excursion for the added Key West location. We booked a snorkeling excursion and then went about walking around the boat for an hour or two. Upon arriving at our stateroom, we were met with a letter on our door stating that our shore excursion(just booked) was cancelled and that we had been refunded. Upon returning to the desk- we were told that all excursions were booked and we could not do anything anymore... WHAT A LET DOWN. We went from being so excited to be on our first cruise and a vacation of a lifetime to having not even left Miami and being a part of a vacation nightmare. We called Friday(2 days before leaving port) to check on the ports we would be visiting, to check any changes and etc. just so we were ready and we were informed that everything was still a go. Once we talked to guest services*(a guy named Lucian) about this, they told us we were "notified by email" at the beginning of October" of the changes(we weren't) and then he went on to say that CruiseOnly was notified of the changes and they must not have past that along to us. At any rate, whoever was supposed to notify us of the changes failed miserably. We tried to make the best of a bad situation but definitely feel like we were taken advantage of(especially because NCL.COM showed our itinerary on the e-docs and on the vacation summary as having the same port of calls as originally booked). I hope this was just a "bad experience" but even at that, I don't know if I will ever bring myself to sail Norwegian, or use CruiseOnly again because of this.... Again- I understand that itinerary's can and will change, but going into the trip knowing this is one thing, it's another finding out as you are stepping foot onto the boat that your supposed 3 days in the Bahamas has been reduced to one and it is the same price.

We really liked the Norwegian Sky, mostly because of the Aft facing Balcony room. The food was great, the open dining and all inclusive is the only way to go. The only complaint is the altered schedule because of hurricane Mathew. I really think that if we book a cruise to the Bahamas, going to Key West is a big let down. This was our second cruise ever, and I think the cruise companies not letting us re-book when there is a change in the itinerary like this is very unfair. The cruise companies take all our money if we try to change anything, yet they are allowed to change everything. THIS is why I prefer not to go on any cruise, anywhere.

That being said the Sky was a great boat with a great crew. the people on board were nice, and diverse. But I really wanted to go to the Bahamas as promised, not Key West and a day at sea. Cruise insurance doesn't cover it either. A real issue in my book. Will I ever cruise again? I don't know, I don't like being taken advantage of and that's how I feel about booking a cruise, no recourse once they get your money

This cruise was so much fun! The whole experience was awesome. The food was so good, the drinks were so good. The only reason that I took a star off is because we did not go to Great Stirrup as advertised and no one told us that until we boarded the cruise. It seemed like a bait and switch. The problem wasn't that they cancelled that stop, the problem was that they did nothing to compensate us when we took it up with the manager. We also took off early on the day that we were supposed to be in Great Stirrup when in reality, we could have stayed at Nassau the entire day Sunday. Not really sure why they did it that way, but that is my biggest complaint. Probably wont be that way the next time we want to go so it wont discourage me from going again. Everything else was outstanding.

Loved the friendly staff, delicious food and cocktails. We were 4 co- workers traveling together and had plenty of R and R and just the right amount of entertainment. Only negative was not understanding text and email charges. Yikes. Wish I had had a heads up on options and costs...my phone bill was more than the cost of the cruise. Life lesson. I thought my ATT passport plan covered it.IT DOES NOT....

Great mini get away ....

THE FOOD WAS GOOD, THE DRINKS WERE ALSO GOOD BUT VERY INCONSISTENT DEPENDING ON THE BARTENDER MAKING THEM, THE BAR BY THE POOL AREA WAS THE WORST AT MAKING DRINKS. OTHER THAN THAT, THE SERVICE WAS ALSO GOOD.  YES, I WOULD RECOMMEND MU FRIENDS. 

Pero was the best waiter I have ever had. He gave good suggestions and was very attentive to our needs. He was funny and spoke relatively good English.

Suzanne, the concierge, was very knowledgeable and made our trips off the boat very smooth. She dropped in to see us just to make sure we did not need anything.

Izzo, our butler, anticipated  our every need. He had good suggestions and was very helpful and knowledgeable. We had breakfast in our room a couple of mornings and he was always on time.

Had a nice get a way. no complaints. Have cruised many times before and we just wanted to get out of Wisconsin and warm up. Did wish there was a comedian later at nite.  Not much activity after 11pm.

The crew were super friendly, food was tasty but nothing "over the top" Except the seafood in the sit-down restaurant.  Our biggest complaint was the size/configuration of the cabin

We had an Oceanview cabin for 3 ADULTS but the way the room was set up, once the bed was opened it completely blocked the door and bathroom! Thank God there was no emergency during the night.

Booked a Cruise with Three ports of call, Freeport and Nassau, both in the Bahamas and great stirrup cay, Norwegian private island. The day after I paid in full for the cruise we got a email that  the visit to stirrup key  was cancelled, as it is under renovation, something that was not menwhen I called in to pay in full.  Bummer as we really wanted to relax on a beach.   Ok. Then instead of Freeport we went to key west instead, due to damage from hurricane Matthew .  Ok I used to live in key west so to us it was no big deal 

food: it seemed to me that most, if not all entrees were frozen, just heat and serve and not the best, the veal cordon blu cordon Bleu sucked, it was st cordon Bleu ill cold on the inside.  The specialty restaurant le bistro was great, we should of book all our dinners there.

the open bar was, honestly, the only reason we booked this particular cruise as on previous cruises we paid 49.00 plus tax for the drink package, so this was a considerable savings for the two of us

all in all we would problems do this cruise again, with all ports of call as advertised and dinners in specialty restaurants, believe me it's worth the extra a la cart pricing

The Norwegian Sky is a nice ship, well maintained but the staterooms were a little "tired".  The staff on the other hand were very energetic.  Everyone went out of their way to make sure the passengers were well cared for.  

The all inclusive alcohol did make for "lively Passengers".

Love the partying before the ship leaves out, next time you'll should allow people to bring there own bags to the room. I had to wait around for 2 hours when i could of been in the pool if I had my bag with me
