The SKY was a very wonderful ship to be on, the food was very good, the staff kept the boat very clean, and the whole expirience on the SKY was AWSOME. I highly reccomend it to anyone.

A first time cruiser would probably find this ship enjoyable, but as a seasoned traveler most enjoyable item on this crusie was the floral painting on the side of the ship. We wanted to sample "Freestyle Cruising" and took this cruise for a reference point for future traveles. Although we found the concept to be attractive, the exicutation left much to be desired. The food was poor, the service was slow and the amenities were lacking.

ship was great to look at the room stewarts were good. The over all cruise itself was poor and unorganized. My 16 yo son even over heard one of the waitstaff say behind a passengers back if you dont like it go some where else. And that indeed is what we will do. I have never been in 1 place where there have been so many people complaining and unhappy. If your looking to use the kid club just know they charge 5 dollars and hour and let u know when u return to pick ur child up.

I liked the ship overall. the entertaiment was great and the specialty restaurants were very good. there was only a small service charge for eating at the specialty restaurants. what i didn't like were the very small staterooms. we had a balcony. the bathrooms wre the size of a small motorhome bathroom. i also thought the beds and pillows were awful. the buffet was always crowded and it is also very small.

This was our first cruise and was a blast. My wife and I were kind of worried about what to expect when we first booked the cruise, but was pleasently surprised once we boarded. The agent we booked through was awsome and got us a great deal. The cruise staff, even at the airport, were very helpful and just great. The ship was very clean and fairly easy to get around on, but if you needed help, they had maps everywhere, nice. Food was very good and had good variety to choose from. Not much waiting invoved.

The ship is beautiful and it is a great little getaway for a wonderful price.

I booked a room in one of the balcony staterooms and was very impressed. The room was kept clean. The restaurants and other areas of the ship were easy to get around and not crowded. However I found out at the end of the trip that this cruise was only around 1,000 people and during the busy periods they have around 2,000. This was my first cruise and I enjoyed the freestyle cruise experience that Norwegian has. You could relax or participate in the many activities that the very entertaining cruise director Matt arranged. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

The "freestyle cruising" really does not apply to this ship. If you would like to eat at one the restaurants, you need to make a reservation even though they say that you are able to eat there without one. To get a good time, you need to book the morning of the day prior as times fill up fast. Two couples were turned away while we were eating dinner, because they said that they could not accomodate them even though 5 of possibly 25 tables were taken. The food at the restaurants were alright. The seemed to try to have a lot of different foods that was not individually prepared well. The only thing that was basically able to have for lunch was a cheeseburger out on the back deck. The entertainment is good and there is always something to do but not much adult entertainment. They had a comedian on board that only had done one show which catered to all ages. Even though the rooms were quite small, they were not too small that you felt trapped. The bathroom rooms maximized the space that they had. There were no clocks on the stateroom or near elevators so unless you had a watch or asked someone, there really was no way of knowing. The staff was hard to communicate with has many of the staff did not speak English well. One of the staff members that was working at the ice cream shop was not able to understand what a lady wanted on her ice cream as far as flavor and toppings are concerned. Overall, this is a good ship and would recommend it.

We had a very nice vacation. The food was great. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing.

Although, the staff were incredibly polite and sweet, the actual product was not that exciting. The menus were bland. The talent was amateur - the dancers were often unengaged and displaying poor/ lazy technique. The night events were swarming with teenagers which made it actually uncomfortable to enjoy any of the parties. The White Hot night for example was predominantly teens bumping and grinding and their parents running in after them. Lastly, the ship was not actually set up to accommodate children. I feel that the staff made an attempt to do so but that they were not generally accustomed to doing so. For example- my 4 year old was not once served his beverages before dessert (meaning it took throughout the appetizer and main course to get it). They also repeatedly served the children their meals before anyone ever got an appetizer which made it very stressful since they would be finished way before the rest of the party. Every single night, they gave out coloring books/menus without any crayons. Lots of silly things added up to make the evenings out kind of stressful.

From top to bottom the ship was clean and inviting with areas and activities to please a wide variety of passengers throughout the day. The staff goes out of their way to make sure everyone has a good time. Activities are clearly outlined each day and there was plenty of space at each activity for all those who wished to participate. Freestyle dining is the way to go! 4 Star meals at sea!

Due to Tropical Storm Hannah, our ship changed itineraries from a Bahamas cruise to a Mexican/Key West cruise. We liked the new destinations, but we felt that the food and the food service was really lacking. It was evident that NCL was trying to cut corners in little ways such as trying to end carving stations early, offering cheaper fish choices such as Mahi-Mahi instead of Salmon or Grouper, and no Sushi bar. We were disappointed that this ship was older, and the design was downright odd. We often found ourselves at dead-end hallways, haging to double-back and go up one deck. Our cabin was on deck 9 - one of the higher decks, and yet the vibration from the engine kept me up most nights. I tried to use the excellent, 500 meter jogging track on two different days. On the first day, the staff hosed it down without squeegee so it was as slippery as glass. The second day, a painting crew decided to paint, leaving me to jog while inhaling noxious fumes. On the third day, I used the gym. It was open at 630am, but no staff present, so I was relagated to watching CNN without volume because you need headphones (which I did not bring with me). When we disembarked in Key West, we had to clear customs, making our 7-hour in port time a mere 4 hours. Oddly, when we went from Key West to Miami, we had to clear customs AGAIN, even though we went from Key West FLORIDA, to Miami, FLORIDA. I could keep going but you get the idea - Staff filling pitchers at juice fountain while a line of guests wait to get juice, 13 inch TVs in cabins with only Fox News (I guess Republicans run NCL, which isn't bad if you're a Republican), etc.

I am an experienced cruiser. This was my first and last cruise with Norwegian. The boat was beautiful but it smelled like sewage in different parts of the boat. They seemed really short staffed, with dirty dishes lying around all the time and the staff was just not that friendly. I am used to Royal Caribbean and Carnival where you always have ample and friendly staff. Other than the casino, bingo, very lame night shows, or the pool there weren't any activities. Again, on RC or Carnival there is always so much to do. I never even met my room steward and that is most certainly a first. Please be aware that there is no ajusting the tips that are left for your room steward and other personel. Norwegian may say you can decrease your tips but you can't. The childrens progam was mediocre at best. Did I mention how terrible the food was? Also, no midnight buffet and no where to get food after 1030pm.

WELL THER WERE JUST TOO MANY CHILDREN RUNNING LOOSE.THE POOL SAID ADULTS ONLY AND THE CHILDREN WERE USING IT. WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE SET UP IN THE ROOM,WE WERE 3 AND WE NEEED IT ARRANGED FOR THREE,WE TOLD THEM BUT BY THE TIME THEY CAME WE HAD TO DO IT OURSELVES.IT WAS HEAVY LIFTING. THERE WERE NO MIDNITE BUFFE.IF YOU WANTED SOMETHING AT THAT TIME YOU WOULD HAVE TO ORDER IT FROM A VERY LIMITED ,MENU.

It was a veri nice trip. I would have enjoy it more if there was less noise in the hallways specially with kids running around. The food was good but deserts where not, I think this could be improved.

We boarded the Norwegian Sky on August 29. Our first impression of our balcony stateroom was that it was slightly smaller than we are used to. This was our 10th cruise - 8 w/Princess and 1 w/Royal Caribbean so we are not first time cruisers. The storage in the room is awful. No drawers and a very small closet. Also the refrigerator is stuffed full of alcohol which leaves no room for your own items. We had to ask twice to have everything removed as my husband and I are non drinkers. The toilet was not very sanitary even after the room steward had cleaned it. There was also a strong smell of urine constantly emanating from it. Our next experience was the food. Over the 3 days we ate in the 2 of the diningrooms (Crossing and the Palace) and the buffet. The food was just "ok". The buffet is set up horribly and people were constantly bumping into eachother. However, we did enjoy the freestyle dining option. The pools were small and overcrowded. All the children were in the "adult only" pool and whirpool tub. The deck entertainment consisted of spanish/latino music blaring from the speakers. It only catered to the South Beach Miami crowd, which seemed to be 80% of the ship. The best part of the cruise was the comedian - Tim Kaminski. We caught all his shows. Definely a must see. Also the dancers are quite good. Only saw one show though. Deck 7 has an awful sewage smell around the whole deck. Especially at night which was when my hubby and I like to walk the deck. We will probably not cruise w/Norwegian again.

Food always cold, rude staff, shower broken, air conditioning broken or not working very well almost everywhere on the ship, small rooms. basically everything about this ship sucked.

I cruise at less Three to Four times a year and the food on this boat was the worst food I have every had. The employees on this boat were not very helpful or nice.

Great public spaces, feeling of a much larger ship. Quick check in and check out. Good food and service in the dining room, not in the buffet. Very clean ship, never saw anything out of place. The balcony cabin was smaller than on other ships but workable. Nassau and Gret Stirrup Cay were great.
