Review summary

The high points of the cruise would be the service and a couple specialty restaurants. The Surfside buffet and grill was very bland. The grill was better but fries were always cold. Our cabin Steward was a gem. Most crew members were very helpful. I doubt that I will cruise Norwegian again simply due to food quality and ship design. The prima is beautiful, but in my opinion, not practical for the cruise we went on. If it had just been the ship, I'd give it another go

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The specialty restaurants were very good, Palomar being the best. The main dining was mediocre, with Surfside being the worst.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
We enjoyed the racetrack a couple of times. Most activities didn't work for us due to pricing, weather or over booking.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Venues were small and crowded. typical 1.5 hour wait in line for those that weren't booked on the first day.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our Steward Erwan, left no need unmet. Michelle in Cagneys was the best waitress we have EVER had.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean. It is also beautiful. Not a fan of the design.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was fair. The bathroom door should have been designed better. It blocks access to the entryway when opened. A pocket door would have been better Phone placement would be better suited near the bed. Balcony was lovely.

Ship tip

it is not well suited for a cold weather trip.Too much space is allocated for outdoor seating, which is impractical to use while it is raining or windy or very cold.

Very long plankway. We were told that we had had the option to book a wheelchair for our disabled member, but we didn't see it. they said we would have to go back onto the ship and go to the point of pickup. They could not do it for us.

We took that same itinerary. It was wonderful. We enjoyed all the food options. Sorry it did not meet your needs.
