Review summary

great destination but not the best experience that we have had. Norwegian needs to assess how it operates its cruise and also be a little flexible within its restaurants , people will pay for stuff but they hate to feel nickeled and dimed. We Will not cruise this cruise Line again. Tried it a second time and this confirmed the experience from the first cruise with this company.

Embarkation

Not the best experience. No very smooth dn no personnel to guide passengers on the outside. Been on many cruises and this was definitely not the best boariding. In addition seems though they had some technical issues as equipment dod not work properly .

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Too many restrictions and not enough flexibility. Food was mostly salty and Drink package did not include sparkling water. It would have been better to include it in the drink package and charge more. I heard many passengers at multiple dining establishments on the ship make the same complaint.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
did not find the onboard activities particularly interesting.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Not enough proper entertainment at night. shows were repeated and they seem to be only 1 serious show. Very disappointed in the way the cruise directors handled the cruise. On most ships one sees and gets to know the cruise director even if they are present at a show or in the area where bands or musicians are playing. The cruise director really creates the atmosphere that guest will experience.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Some staff tried but others did not. I must say the staff from the Philippines really went above and beyond to be helpful and create a great environment.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I think the ships design was not the most efficient. The common areas were too small and ceilings were very low. I am 5.6 and the ceilings were low, saw many taller people bending to avoid smoke detectors in the ceiling etc. The rooms were nice and definitely an improvement on the bathrooms. so congratulations there. We found that the ship could use a better flow.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was fine, much larger bathroom than previous ship we last cruised on. Nice size closets as well. Great job on the redesign of room. ceiling too low though.
