this was a good cruise for the value. it's not a really fancy ship but is comfortable and clean. we really enjoy the staff's friendliness and cleanliness. we had a good time.

Had a good time but did not enjoy most of the excursions

I found it very on organized getting on and off the boat . Rough seas but otherwise food was great , entertainment was fabulous .

First time on Norwegian. We mostly have gone on Celebrity/Royal Caribbean. Actually liked Norwegian better - it was classy, fun, ship atmosphere was wonderful. The staff all seemed to be happy in their job. Had great narration during Canal. Cruise Director Jodie and Asst. Tiara were extra special. Definitely will travel Norwegian again.

Food was disappointing. Summer Place and Cagney’s were the only good meals we had. Garden cafe was awful!! Service was excellent! Every service was nice and friendly.

A very enjoyable cruise with a few hiccups but on the whole would cruise with Norwegian again.

Cruising has become popular due to the overall cruise expereince - the interesting places you visit which you wouldn't normally go to, the other cruisers you meet whom you would never meet anywhere else and the shipboard experience - the food, drinks and the events. And it is the latter where Norwegian Pearl disappoints. For 14 days, the food was pretty much the same, same. Complimentary dining options have decreased with fixed menus, which is tiresome after 14 days. If Norwegian are hoping to entice more $ out of their passengers using the mediocrity of the food to force passengers into the paid restaurants, then these have to be worth it, and they were not. Bars were closing some nights as early as 8pm (!!) with many disappointed cruisers searching for a nightcap. Many passengers who were seasoned cruisers could not recall another cruise where this has happened. Also puzzling was why when at port, the events on ship were more interesting than what was what offered on days at sea. Jodie, the Cruise Director, has a pretty cruisy job, offering very little of real entertaintment. Would I recommend a cruise through the Panama Canal? - yes. Would I recommend Norwegian? - No, look for a cruise line where they still appreciate that you as the customer.

All in all , for our first cruise we enjoyed it. Food was good, except for Cagney's steakhouse, which was excellent! Drinks were enjoyable. O'Sheenan's was another good food and beverage spot. Best drink: Bushwhackers! The atrium bar had the best Pain Killer drink! For relaxing purposes, the Spa was the place to go. The entertainment was good in the Atrium bar area, Martini bar area (piano bar) and the outdoor entertainment poolside was good as well.

The ship was wonderful. I didn't like the shore excursions offered. Two of the excursions I thought would be wonderful were canceled. I had to choose other ones that I din't really enjoy.

Overall the cruise experience it so much fun. The staff it friendly and the food it good.

Overall I was impressed with NCL. Loved the food, ship and staff. I plan on going on NCL in the future for sure.

We've decided that Norwegian is not for us. I'd probably try a different ship ten years from now, but in the competitive environment of cruising in Florida, maybe not even then. We have friends who cruised with us who say it's their favorite cruise line, despite what made us unhappy. I'm glad the line has such friends, but we aren't going to be among them.

Nice ship, very good senior officers. We only book suites on NCL to get breakfast and lunch in Moderno. Do the Mayan Wellness retreat in Costa Maya—great experience. Hammock massage is unbelievable-better than a regular one. Get your drinks in the Sugarcane Mojito Bar. Love Bruno the concierge but he will be moving to the Jade soon.

They have VERY boring entertainment. To save money. They fill their auditorium during bingo and take in tons of money...then pay out $164 for a bingo blackout. Word to the wise....keep your money!!. I played in a blackjack tournament and on other ships is you get to final game you at least get a free t-shirt and payout is ALWAYS $500 if you win. This ship paid around $100....Pathetic! Scam!. They had to have made at least $5000 in entries each bingo game or blackjack tournament yet pay out $164 and $100. One way street....you give money and they take that money!! Please don't be scammed by them. Food was ALWAYS the same. Very boring foods especially a 2 week cruise.NO food anywhere past 10pm. Seating for meals at buffet VERY crammed! People fighting with one another trying to snag a seat to be able to eat. Poor accommodations for elderly or disabled! Poor cheap entertainment. Repeat acts! They are in the news for stocks improving and NCL making money....at the customers expense!!

Embarkation and disembarkation were sufficient tp ruin this cruise.

Overall, we were very satisfied with Norwegian, great friendly employees and staff. Some miscommunication about tender service for handicap. Was told our friend couldn’t get on tender in cayman, but we all went down anyways and he was able to go on with his scooter. The transfer from airport to ship and from ship to airport was disappointing. Had made plans to have van both ways, but only buses where available. Friend couldn’t get up bus(one leg). Had to fine a van both ways ourselves, which we paid for. Had prepaid for transfers. Should be reimbursed. Great intertainment, food, and friendly staff. Had a great time.

An enjoyable cruise by and large but some terrible management issues. Why have over 1000 passengers assemble in the theatre to disembark - would it not be more sensible to have us wait in our cabins? Wrong venues for large audiences is another example. Could have been so much better but think more training required in certain areas. Still object to not having free unlimited internet. Shorts and casual gear should be banned in most public area and all restaurants except buffet. Never seen so many tramps.

Crew gave conflicting answers to EZ Self Assist... some said needed a tag, others pointed to wrong staging area. I MEAN THIS COULD HAVE NOT, REPEAT NOT HAVE BEEN MORE POORLY PERFORMED> Vincent, the Cruise Director, needs training.... really annoyed at the lack of communication and misdirection.

Best way to see Alaska, the cruise itself was a ok honestly not impressed this time, the workers looked like they were tired all the time and our steward was good but not top notch like the previous one we had in our last cruise with Norwegian. The ship was taken care of through the cruise. In the main dining restaurants the food was ok and the buffet didn't change food variety in the 7 days we were on board, so we are thinking of trying a different cruise company.

Absolutely a great time. Embarkation was fast and easy. We were eating lunch by 12:30 in Summer Palace dining room. Room was were prepared. Great selection of restaurants. HOWEVER, never booking the last cruise of the season as in every port 90% of stores were already closed for the season. Bliss and Pearl are only Norwegian ships doing Alaska starting 2019. Oh, Pearl offered Port Vallet taking our bags to airport at no charge, great service!
