Review summary

We had a great trip to Alaska. The food and entertainment were good, and the people onboard, both passengers and crew, were very friendly. The weather cooperated and we only had rain when we hit Victoria. The port stops were either sunny or cloudy with sun. The glaciers were wonderful, beautiful colours. We saw orcas, belugas and seals really close to the ship on the way back down. I highly recommend this cruise to Alaska.

It didn't take too long to get onboard.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The buffet was good, never had a problem finding something we liked, eventhough depending on when we went, we had a hard time finding a seat … O'Sheehans was hardly busy the entire trip … food was tasty tho, I had bangers and mash and my daughter had the fish & chips, both were yummy. Moderno was our favourite specialty restaurant. LaCuchina and Le Bistro were both quite bland, quite a disappointment. The best meal of the cruise was actually on our last night in the MDR Indigo. The food was very good, entrees were a med-rare prime rib and my daughter had the ravioli (which they didn't have at the Italian place, go figure !!) I did miss having a straw with my drinks, especially the frozen, slushie ones. I think I got as much slush in my nose as in my mouth :)

Saw a couple of shows, did bingo (getting really expensive), trivia. Very entertaining.

Children's Programs

We took my grandson to Guppies (my daughter and I). Alex (11 mo's) had a great time there each day meeting other babies onboard and playing with all the toys

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout was a little confusing on some decks but the common areas were always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Average size balcony cabin. Room was a little tight with the stroller, but we usually put it in the balcony or collapsed it into the closet. Plenty of room for the two adults and a little crawling/walking machine.

Ship tip

Just enjoy yourself!
