Review summary
Great service, always smiling, friendly & helpful. This is the 3rd cruise we've been on (and the 2nd Norwegian), and it had to be Norwegian for it's Freestyle dining. We've done a cruise with another cruise line which was a sit down dinner with the same people (strangers) for 3 meals a day for 8 days and hated it. Great food choices, can't go wrong with Norwegian.

I also like flex dining and reserve it on every cruise where it is available. I have sailed on NCL in the past. Thanks for posting here.

Atlantic lobster is the best. I ask about any seafood before ordering it. After the Melt down in Japan the radiation from the Japanese melt down is affecting Pacific fish. I read an article that by next year the fish out of So Cal, Organ and Washington will have higher radiation levels I may go to eating farm raised fish instead of wild.
When I was on the NCL Pearl and the NCL Star they had the Lobster on formal night. The Pearl is a great ship and when I was on her 5 years ago had great service. For premium dining, The steak house was good, the French was great and the Mexican was good for Lobster Taco's. On the NCL Star they had a special sea day Indian lunch that was well worth the extra $ 10.00 each.

Very true CM! I found that out the hard way when I ordered "Local" lobster when in the Caribbean. It was warm water lobster and was TOTALLY different than cold water NorthEastern Atlantic Lobster.

Ok... this is a tip regarding "lobster night" coming from a New Englander. I realize I am spoiled by the great seafood around here... but even more so by the lobster. If the menu does not clearly state that the lobster is from somewhere in New England, Nova Scotia, PEI or close by be sure to ask where it comes from before you order. Langostino lobster is entirely different from North Atlantic lobster. If that is what you are accustomed to, that's fine for you but it is not the same as what we have here in the Northeast. Just because there is a lobster night, doesn't mean its going to be what you expect so check to be sure.

Hi - Glad to hear you had a great time. We're on this ship later this month. We've heard they have a "Lobster Night" - did they do this when you were on board? I called to get more info., but was told it was up to the captain and not guaranteed. If you had it, do you remember which night it was offered? Don't want to make dinner reservations for one of the specialty restaurants that night. Thanks!
